So I was walking from US Bank stadium on a preseason Friday night at 10pm back to my hotel. I was in town by myself and just enjoying the city. The area is really nice (looks clean) and not to many begging homeless people or shady people. Anyway, I am walking along in downtown when suddenly I come upon an establishment with scantily clad women and big bouncers standing outside some large wooden doors. The red sign felt welcoming and so I decided to check it out (why go back to your hotel by 10pm anyway, right?). Next thing I know a young blonde girl is in my lap talking to me about my day with hardly anything on. I like this place :) The place is kinda small, but that is what you get downtown compared to those outside the city limit ones. I didn't mind and liked that about it, not sure how packed it can get though. The guy at the door checking IDs was very laid back and the lady at the front desk was nice. I used my Yelp app for freed admission :D The bartenders were great as well. If there was anything bad to say about this place, I would say they need to arrange the layout a little more for when I does get busy and to allow you to walk up to the front stage easier. This is by far the best gentleman's club I've ever been to in the Midwest. From being greeted to immediately at the door as I walk in to the quick and efficient bartenders I've had nothing short of an amazing time. It's spacious, the dj plays the BEST music, and the servers are warm and inviting. As far as the entertainers- my God. No matter your type, they've got her there, trust me. We got in with free passes given by the charming waitstaff at Kierans and were seated. Seeing a bachelor party come in to a place like this. Well. You might have just rang a dinner bell to the girls in here. I started by buying laptances for the groom-to-be and sicced a little asian chiquita on a girl I dated years ago who was coming along with the bad boy crew this evening. Girls getting lapdances is always completely hilarious. They make the best faces. I would like to take this time to encourage everyone to see that more of this is done in the world. The floor manager, girl wrangler, or whatever his title is came up to me and said he needed $200 to get the bachelor in stage. I told him that I would get back to him, but actually I told everyone to finish up what they were doing, and pack their semi's to go. We going to move along to the next stop. Two hundred bucks? The place is only topless, went on monday night so the vibe was dead, and most of the dancers were meh. I will say this, it is a Classy place, and the interior is like being in an opera house but for dancers. They did have this one dancer (I wish I could remember her name) who was really good. She made pole dancing into an art form while being sexy and seductive at the same. You could tell she had great body strength and discipline to perform some of the tricks that she did. She called me later to say "sorry my manager was high and insisted I go home because I suggested You didn't need to buy the Champaign." So, you walk up to this place, and the door is being covered by four guys stuffed into one big guy who's mere gaze suggests you are living just then.....because he doesn't have time to change that. Check your receipts if you use a credit card!! Barkeep wanted to keep my card and ID in her bra and the floor waitress disappeared with my card and ID for nearly an hour! We had to track her down before we left. Two charges for $23 each were increased to $30 and $40 by the next day. Fortunately I kept my copy of the receipts. My friend Erik always wants to go to strip clubs here in the Twin cities because there are none in the middle of nowhere South Dakota. last summer we went to Sheiks/Downtown Cabaret and had a great time. $10 to get in, but the bartender let us onto $3 rail drinks all night, most likely to get us to spend more on the dancers the drunker we got, but that was fine. They had 2 for 1 lap dances for $10 every hour it seemed like, and Erik got a private dance in the back area that he was actually impressed with compared to those at Dreamgirls, where he usually wants to go. Some of my most amazing nights out in downtown Minneapolis have been here. By chance and proximity, a couple of colleagues and I ended up at Downtown Cabaret after dinner, and I'm so very glad we did. I recently returned to Minneapolis for business and it was even better. Everyone was very involved in making sure we enjoyed ourselves. The waitresses, Ashley and Danielle, were flawless, friendly, and felt like they'd come there with us. DJ Charley was playing music that repeatedly stole my attention from the more obvious interests. I had a Shazam treasure trove after each visit. He was the linchpin...and he managed it all while working. The general manager, Dylan, was an exemplary host. I won't offer details but he went so far above and beyond on one particular occasion that it defied how I thought the universe worked. I won't forget it. Nick, Cameron, I remember them all. Hell, even the restroom attendant, Antonio, remembered me from my first visit. Last, but very far from least, the dancers. We spent most of our time with just a few standouts: Maxine, Marina, and Mei Ling. Of course they're attractive but, in a place like that, it's expected. I went for the first time on Saturday night 2/10/2018 I had a 1 hour private session that was $440 and 2 bottles of champagne that the dancer suggested. I was misled on the price of the champagne. I have credit card receipt for $440 and no slip for the champagne. The next day I checked my bank account and $1265 was taken from my account. Also my tip was paid in cash. The bartender was friendly and attentive even though it was very busy. Definitely going to bring my friends here next time. I've been to dtc a few times , Ive always had a decent time in there (girls are alright I guess) but the last time I went I experienced some of the most discriminating hospitality ever.. so a girlfriend of mine decided to get out the house and enjoy some much needed entertainment. Because I used to dance my first idea was of coarse the strip club. So after I got a tattoo my girlfriend and I got dressed.. we decided to invite our tattoo artist as well since he was going downtown also. Once we get there, my friends order a shot, while I went to get over 200$ in 1's . I don't drink but was pressured to take a half of a shot to loosen up (wrong move). Within 5 min my head started pounding . I watched a few girls on stage (which now is way better because they have a pole and not just a runway) and walked up and tipped around 20$ per girl. When I returned to the table a server (whom I later found out had relations with our guy friend) asked us what we wanted , because my head was hurting still I asked my girlfriend to step outside with me to get some air and smoke .. within 5 min our guy friend was being put out .. before we could ask what happen the manager stepped out into the smoking patio and told us to leave. Confused I asked him what we did he didn't respond. When I asked again he made the statement "we have enough nice cars on our lot we don't need anymore used vehicles " he went on to say "you must think we're dumb, we know exactly what your up to" I was appalled ! He assumed because were two black woman that the guy we came with was a pimp. The worst part about it is how do you defend yourself? I was wrongly kicked out of the establishment all of an assumption.. I still can't figure out where we went wrong. We dressed classy we had money we drove a nice car yet that makes me a prostitute? Hot Damn, years later and I'm revamping my OG post, with a better review. This place puts the ASS in classy, also there's a vintage library on half of the left side, sophisticated! An old school bank on the right side, Baller! The ladies here are here cause they love their job. The management is also there cause they love their job and it Shows. Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. Lunch was good. Entertainment was thin and weak. Only two girls dancing. Both were hot but only one gave me any attention. I paid her $125 fee for 15min VIP dance. Dance was good. I was allowed to touch, which I always enjoy, but she stopped after two songs and said we were done. Not sure if this is the norm but I left immediately. read more
