History serves that 2500 BC to 1836 AD Chief Big Foot and his Potawatomi tribe walked this path between their villages. The path has been preserved nicely by all the estate owners that live on the lake. The path is rugged in places made up of brick, wood, stones, boulders and slate. It's an enjoyable walk with plenty of breathtaking views and colorful inlets that change in the seasons!

As an adult, I love this path, it is right along Lake Geneva and in the backyards of multi-million estates. I love looking at estates and observing the activity on the water at the same time. The path is a bit narrow and there isn't anywhere to break off to use the restroom, so be sure to make a stop to the bathroom before you start the path. Weekends tend to get pretty busy, so try going on a weekday and there won't be any crowds on the path. We plan to hike this whole path (about 23 miles) by the end of spring or summer 2020. So far, we've made 2 trips and covered 7 miles of the lake (14 miles total back and forth) and plan to make more stops in order to go around the whole lake. By the end, we will cover the lake twice. Haha. So far so good, but I'll update this review after I hike the whole path.

I loved his show from start to finish. The venue is intimate but not small, if that makes sense. During the show, Tristan called on people, and the audience participation aspect made the show fun and interactive. I'm not really the audience for this kind of stuff. I am always looking for the catch, the tell, the slip-up. But with this show, it doesn't matter. Just sit back and be entertained by a man and his assistants who have amazing stage presence and keen sleight of hand. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour or so that I spent as this theatre. There's a short intermission in the middle of the show. They bring some products out for sale, like a magic set and coloring book for kids. Which reminds me: The magic shows are for all ages! Kids and adults will be equally entertained. They sell concessions before the show and during intermission. I didn't get anything, but they had popcorn, candy and beverages for sale, including water, soda, beer, wine and White Claws. At the end, you have the opportunity to take a photo with Tristan Crist himself in the lobby. I think that that's really cool of him to extend himself like that! You can tell that Tristan really loves his audience and the magic that he's making in Lake Geneva.

The drive into Geneva National was beautiful as it was snowing and the winding roads to get to the Ice Castles was getting us excited for the visit. It was organized upon arrival and social distancing and health safety was in place and all were wearing masks. The ice castles were impressive and walking in was really cool as you walk through a ice cave to enter. I really liked being there at night so that the lighting made it cool to see all the massive ice walls illuminated. They are some cool tunnels both big and small to explore and had plenty of time to walk around to take everything in. We had fun going down the ice slide on sleds they give let you use - this is a must do. There were some tiny tunnels to check out as well but didn't do those. This was a great escape for my family and I to visit the Ice castles. I would Recommend weekdays if you can swing that... but not sure ticket availability at this point. My teenage kids and wife and I all enjoyed the visit! Tips: What to wear Do wear winter boots, snow pants, gloves and jacket- we saw a women come in jeans and gym shoes and she bit it hard since there are some icy patches. The staff does maintain the paths but you do need to be careful. Safety I wasn't sure how that would go with the health crises but needless to say we felt very safe the entire visit. Mask are required - please be considerate and insure everyone safety by being safe. Hand sanitizer was available at check in... there are bathroom inside available and they were very clean.

But do yourself and your loved ones a huge favor and just take the family to a Jewel or Target parking lot after it has been plowed and let them climb a top what in comparison to the ice castles would be the Mount Everest of snow and entertainment. Then take the $80 per person you saved and buy them all something nice. This place is the Fyre Fest of Wisconsin without the crappy sandwiches and tents.
