In Feb 2024 I called 11 different storage companies on the West side of Salt Lake valley. 10 of them would not tell me what their history is for raising rents on existing customers, and would not connect me to anyone with authority to discuss it. I had been renting from Extra Space Storage for 7 years, during which time they raised my rent an exorbitant 140%, but would never connect me with anyone to explain why. They are currently charging new customers 120% less than me. Bait and Switch! When I called Copperview, I talked directly with the owner, Jim. He explained that he treats existing and new customers equally when he his costs require rate changes. I talked to two different people who have rented from him for years, and they each confirmed that rates have risen reasonably, close to inflation. They are pleased with how they have been treated. I started renting at Copperview in Feb 2024 for the lowest rate of any of the 11 companies I had called, for my size unit. He and his staff have treated me very well. I am also glad the company made a couple changes that makes a huge difference in the place. The place is clean, has new flooring, and feels like a much safer place to have a legitimate spot for Storage. I am also so happy to hear that they will be replacing some staff because I have had a horrible experience with customer service from a specific staff member that will soon get replaced.

One itty bitty thing that is a little tiny bit of a scoche annoying is the roads on site- (I know, it's not on level ground it's on a hill & the level is in tiers throughout to keep each unit level but the storage roads can be rough on your car sooooo DRIVE SLOW)- I'm completely fine with it (it is what it is) as long as I drive really really slow. The whole place is on a slope, which can be annoying or even dangerous when you are carrying lots of boxes and such. Especially in the snow. The inner hallway units are not too well-lit, but a great price. You can get two smaller units for *cheaper* than a single equivalent-sized outside unit! The high ceilings are also a good feature, so you can get a smaller unit and just super-stack everything to the roof! The place is not climate-controlled, or even 100% weather-proof, but still very good. I covered up my stuff with a tarp just in case, and the tarp just got pretty dusty over the course of a year. Automatic credit card payments are convenient, too.

I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. I was Storage Shopping, and Literally didn't even need to go and check any other storages in town just because she was that Amazing. And she seriously doesn't need to be so loving. She offers Waters, and Storage Discounts, and Bonuses. And she does it all with smiles. The storage is Super Safe, and she is always 5 minutes away if you ever need anything. And OH MY GOD... I love her hair. The storage units are kept extremely nice and clean, and when I showed up, they purchased one of those power scrubbing mop that you see the janitors use in public schools. She also answered all of my crazy questions... And more. She even let me relax in the lounge office and just talked to me. So loving. I Love Towne Storage just because of her. Thank you Tonya.

Kayla has always been a QUEEN. Shes been so helpful to me and Sydney on both occasions, super professional but also relatable and fun.
