Our piercer, Bree, was so friendly and made sure the piercing room was basically medically sterile! My artist(I can't remember his name) was heavy handed in some spots and not as heavy handed in others. Some lines are wonky and some are not. If you're getting a tattoo in New Orleans, looking further. Quick, clean work. We called ahead a day and got appointments for flash (Taylor Swift flash, if you must know) and had a great easy time. Most of the flash sheet tattoos were pretty affordable, I believe it was $130 for the design, 30 extra shading. I even switched my design at the last second, and it was no problem. My artist was Jim, and he was fantastic. Super helpful and reassuring, especially since it was my first tattoo. All the artists seem to be doing great work. A few days later and my tattoo still looks and feels great! Honestly if I go back, I'll just ask the artist to do whatever they want, because I loved the direction they took the flash design. read more

Touched down Friday and explored the French Quarter knowing I was going to eventually get a tattoo. I had done some research and found a shop I was originally going to go to but end up at Downtown Tattoos (glad I did!). Well if you're here, you're smarter than I was already so congratulations for that. I wandered in here on vacation with friends for a little spur of the moment vacation tattoo. The girl who sits at the front desk isn't the most warm and welcoming person which is awkward considering she is the first person you interact with here. The artist who did my tattoo had such shakey hands which is not to knock anyones ability or disability but the tattoo looks like it was done with someone with shakey hands and that's not cool. It was patchy before I left. I very kindly asked the guy to go over it again and it still looks like trash. There's also a part where he veered off the stencil so there's just a random spot where there shouldn't be ink. For $130 with tip for a 1x1 inch tattoo. I'm terribly disappointed and dissatisfied. It's patchy, not symmetrical and looks like it was done by an amateur. I now have to pay to get this fixed and that's such a bummer. read more

All the time she was talking to my artist about how we were being "assholes" about a previous customer. I get what she heard may be considered inconsiderate. I didcompliment a customer on her physique.
