Dr. Auto Repair is an auto mechanic shop that you can trust with respect to an accurate diagnosis and a fair price for said repair. They handle all your auto needs, but I only went for brakes and an oil leak. The brakes were done quickly and at a price that was substantially lower than the dealer and other nationwide shops. They diagnosed the oil leak and gave me a plan to complete the work in a way that saved money and time. The staff is helpful and always courteous. They made the sometimes confusing world or modern-day cars, easy to understand. They answered all of my questions and made it a point to explain the estimate (repair, cost, and time to complete) in full. One star down for the Spartan waiting area and the cost to read "check engine codes." The waiting area is not a problem if you drop off your car and do not wait, but if you must wait it wears on you after about an hour. Better seating better spaced out would help. Not sure if they offer Wi-Fi, but that would help too (just used data). They charge over $100 to read check light codes. Those same codes can be read for free at Autozone and Advanced Auto stores. I get it, there is a cost for the techs time. However, hooking up a reader to the car's computer and one minute later reading the code should not cost over $100. They do apply the cost to a repair if you choose to have them do it. Not totally unreasonable, but just an FYI. They have numerous bays and mechanics working, but because they are so good and reasonably priced, they are always busy. Make an appointment if you can. Arrange a ride so you do not have to wait. Add them to your list of trusted auto repair shops. Four stars, but four strong ones with a full recommendation. read more

My 04 Ford Expedition had several problems- die when starting; steering issues; ABS speed sensor bad. They took my truck and quickly diagnosed the starting issue and steering issue. They repaired the starting issue (IAC bad) and steering issue (Steering rod locked) and replaced my ABS speed sensor. Price for repairs we less then I expected and reasonable. After getting truck back, had an issue with truck idling down hard causing jerking and they took my truck back in and bcuz of supply delays, stored my truck in their garage until part came in a day or two later. Replaced the part and cleaned the throttle body and my Big Gurl was back to business! These guys are very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I take my car to Vincent. He's fantastic. Its very hard to find a mechanic that is HONEST. He will tell you if there is something wrong with your car or not. He will take the time to inspect it. When something was wrong with my transmission instead of charging me to fix it, he told me to take it to Nissan for them to fix it for free since it was still under warranty. That screams integrity to me. When I took it to Nissan at first they said it wasn't the transmission but when they ran the test on it, they found out that it was...if it wasn't for Vincent telling me what the deal was, I would've been out of a lot of money! read more
