Walked in at 4:50, Closes at 6pm. Guy says just finished last client and says he can't take me even though he has an hour left. Schedules me for next day 5pm, takes my number says he will call if anything changes. I get here after work at 4:30pm, place is closed even though says open until 6pm. and this ladies and gents, is how you don't get new clients and lose them before serving them. Ridiculous. read more

Disappointed. I went in recently because they always give half decent haircuts, even after the new ownership. But as I was getting my haircut a new customer walked in, sat down and waited for his haircut. Once they got started, the gentleman that would take care of him comes over to the station I'm currently in and grabs the straight razor to use on the other customers face without cleaning it or brushing it off. Incredibly unsanitary especially for a straight razor. I wish I could say this was a mistake but then the person taking care of MY haircut, not 5 minutes later, grabbed the SAME RAZOR from his partners station and used it on MY face, still without cleaning it in any way. Such casual display of contamination can only be indicative of other health codes theyre breaking with no remorse. What confused me the most is that they had a perfectly good container of barbicide disenfectant on both stations that they just completely ignored! read more

My typical barber was fully booked out past when I needed a haircut so I checked out Dr.Beard Barbershop instead. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous because my regular barber is thoroughly experienced and knows exactly how I like my hair cut. In fact, when Austin started from the top, I had flashbacks to a horrific cut I had gotten in the past and almost stopped him from cutting - embarrassing right? I was just that nervous. Side note: The barbers here are younger guys and tend to play good 90's hip hop so if you're into that vibe, you'll like the atmosphere. I certainly did. Anyway, Austin ended up doing a fantastic job when he could have butchered my hair in retaliation for my rudeness. He took the high road which is more than I can say. This will be my go-to back up barber anytime I can't get cut by my usual barber. Only gave 4 stars because $40 for a Men's haircut is the highest price I've seen in town. read more

If you want to be poked and prodded up your nose, nicked on the lip repeatedly with a trimmer, have your face sliced and walk out the door with razor burn all over your neck - this is the barber shop for you. Not only were they rude and unhelpful over the phone, refusing to be flexible with changing an appointment by half hour even though the barber had an opening, but this was the worst barber experience I have ever had. The barber was practically shaking the entire time he was trimming my beard and continuously apologizing when I winced from whatever it was he was doing. After slicing my face, he just kept putting towels on my face and dabbing the spot that he sliced - what, just hoping it would go away? I'm all for understanding people have to start somewhere and get better with practice - this is what school and training are for. The customer shouldn't be the guinea pig if the barber is too nervous to effectively and safely do the job. read more

I needed my hair and beard done and my usual place The Beardsmith is just a pain to get into sometimes. I just can't stick with a schedule to have it all done. I searched around and called a few places and this place had an opening. It was easy to find, although they didn't have their sign up just yet, you can never miss the swirling barber sign. The place looked really good inside. Nice furnishings, wood decor, great ambiance. KJ did a fantastic job cutting me. It had been a while since I'd seen anyone and it was a lot of work. He took his time and gave me 100% of his focus. I looked awesome! This is now my new spot. read more

KJ has nothing short of amazing. His professional and genuine courtesy makes conducting business there seamless. His attention to detail provides clean cuts through and through.
