A new surgery needs to be provided on peninsula and surgery should advise patients what local peninsula pharmacies can offer under nhs..blood tests??

St Mary's Paddington A&E had informed us that there was a 7 hour delay because it was a Bank Holiday. We decided to drive to Casualty First and we were very, very impressed with the level of treatment that he received. He was seen by a Registrar, who made an immediate appointment for him to have a scan at Central Middlesex Hospital and things got moving from there. Now it is our first port of call when we have a medical problem. No more waiting 6 weeks to see your GP and then waiting for a referral. Casualty First is the place to go first if you want tip top service with trained and knowledgeable medical staff. The reception staff were friendly and patient and it was so nice to be met with smiles, not bored scowls.

They cannot do enough to help you and really work there hardest to accommodate you and see you if it's emergency. Getting through on the phone feels like winning the lottery, and even something basic like a sick note turns into a mission because everything depends on grabbing one of their precious, limited slots. Apparently, only a tiny number of people are allowed to be ill each morning and afternoon, because once those appointments are gone, that's it. No flexibility, no effort to accommodate, just "try again tomorrow" as if people's lives revolve around this system. Honestly, it's impressive how something so essential can be run so poorly. Apologies for my English, but the service here is beyond frustrating.

I have worked with Dr. Gerlis for decades and his clinical astuteness--his ability to "connect the…read moredots" so that the patient understands the biology of their presenting complaint--is a wonderful gift to any patient. At the same time he builds up a "developing history" of the patient (over years) revealing underlying somatic patterns that are hugely important in making not only differential diagnoses but in providing clinical advice or referral. Knowing that one can email such a person and hear back within an hour (usually it is within 15 minutes) is healing in itself and leads both doctor and patient to come to reasoned and thoughtful decisions during a time that might be stressful. And it is fine that a clinic now offers in person drop in appointments. A model from the 1960's (when drop in's began) which is now revived and renewed in the 21st century. Great stuff.

I have been with this surgery for more years than I care to remember. The waiting room is quite…read morespacious and there is room for kids to move around. They have books and magazines, and some toys for the kids. My kids actually enjoy going to the waiting room. Getting an appointment is quite easy and you can book on the internet which is very handy. I have seen most of the Dr's in the surgery and there was only one that I disliked and would not see again. He was a locum and I don't think he is there anymore. There is often a wait for seeing the dr's but I always find the nurses to be very prompt.
