Got my engagement ring resized here recently. The team here was super friendly and willing to help me even though I can in just minutes before they closed (Thank you, I'm so sorry). The price to resize was reasonable compared to other places I researched, but the only thing in this case is that if your ring still doesn't fit properly, you do have to pay for it to be resized again whereas some places will charge you once and adjust if needed. I had that experience, and was a little frustrated to be honest because they sized me using their standard ring band measurer, but my engagement ring band is thinner than that, so although I went with the size recommendation of team members who assisted me, my ring was still super big after the resize (if I shook my hand, it would fall off). Anyway, I paid to get it resized again (not the full amount like the first time) and followed my instinct size wise this time, and my ring fits great! I appreciated that since this was my second time resizing my ring, they put a rush on the order, so I got it back in a few days as opposed to the usual 10 business days. I don't see any traces of sawing on the ring. The person who sizes it explained his process to me and made me feel comfortable about what he was doing. If you go to the mall or to one of these big chain stores, you are going to pay a mark up you wouldn't believe if you knew the truth! At Dr Gold, you get very fair prices, and they even have a layaway plan! Tonny, the owner, knows I like vintage looking jewelry, and will sometimes have something special for me to look at! All in all, I can't recommend this store highly enough - just the welcome by the front staff is enough to draw you in - but it's the treasures in the cases that will make you stay! (And get your wallet out!) UPDATE: I have a friend who needed a lovely 14K Rose Gold ring, which was covered in Diamonds, and whose outstanding feature was the "squiggle", as she called it, that made up the shape of the ring and gave it such great impact. Problem was that it was a sz 5.75, and she needed it to be a 9. I took it to no one else but Dr. Gold, where masterful custom jeweler Keith did what I was afraid might not be able to be done: size the ring up more than 3 sizes, while preserving the integrity of the piece, the squiggle, if you will! It looked absolutely fantastic - in fact, with my amateur eyes, even under magnification I could not see where it had been altered!
