I've had many varied dental experiences in my life, not to mention in different countries , and not all of them were pleasant, in fact, quite a alot were the opposite. And so finding Dr. Isabel Selmair and her wonderful team here in Munich has been nothing short of relief and a blessing. Its amazing how every time I walk into her practice, Im greeted with warmth and the entire team is always kind andwelcomingThe atmosphere as well feels calm and reassuring (something I couldnot have previously imagined saying about a dental clinic). Dr. Selmair is exceptional in what she does. She takes the time to really listen and always explains every step of the treatment with patience and clarity, (not only can she do this in german but in fluent (read native) english too!!) which instantly puts someone like me with only A2 level german skills at ease. Growing up, i've always had dental anxiety, esp with all my dental issues , however at her clinic, im just consistently reassured at every step. During my recent root canal, all thanks to her gentle and precise technique, my anxiety just flew out the window. I almost felt no discomfort throughout the procedure. What I value most is her empathy and the way she treats me (as i am sure she does with every patient) as an individual, not just another appointment.Dr Isabel and her assistant always check that Im comfortable and okay. Their calm and caring presence make all the difference. I trust her completely with my dental care, and Ive recommended her to anyone who ever asked for a good dentist in Munich. Dr. Selmair is the best doctor I've ever had, bar none! I was unfortunate enough to require a root canal last year and was scared out of my mind about it (who wouldn't be). But I was put to ease as soon as I walked in the office doors...friendly staff, convenient location and a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Once I sat down with Dr. Selmair to discuss the procedure, I was struck with not only how clearly skilled she is, but how aware of the fears and trepidations that most people associate with a trip to the dentist...but all of mine turned out to be unfounded. She explained, in detail, what was going to happen, and continued to explain everything to me during the procedure, so that I wouldn't feel out of control at any time. At one point I started to feel some discomfort and she immediately administered more Novocaine, so that I didn't feel any pain at all..and I didn't. As a matter of fact, that was the only discomfort I experienced during the entire root canal, which I couldn't believe. After all this, we discussed filling in the small gaps between my teeth...they were never big enough to be awful, but enough that it bothered me. Dr. Selmair was aware of my needs enough to ask me how I felt about them, and then to offer a rather easy way to fix them! The first time I looked in the mirror at my new smile, I had to pull myself together - I was so happy, and it wouldn't have been possible without this wonderful, warm, and caring dentist. If you are looking for a new dentist, I dare say you don't have to look any further. I would recommend her (with enthusiasm) to anyone...in fact, I have. She's now not only my dentist, but the dentist of most of my friends, as well! read more

Ich hatte eine ausgezeichnete Erfahrung im Praxis Dr. Selmair. Die Praxis ist leicht zu finden sie ist im Herzen von München, im schönen Schwabing in der Nähe der Münchner Freiheit. Ich vereinbarte einen Termin mit Frau Dr. Selmair, um einen Weisheitszahn entfernen zu lassen. Ich hatte ein bißchen Angst vor diesem Termin, da einige Bekannte schon sehr schlechte Erfahrungen mit Weisheitszahnentfernungen gemacht hatten. Dr. Selmair versicherte mir, dass es einfach und schmerzlos sein würde. Die Zahnextraktion erfolgte in zwei Schritten, im ersten Schritt wurde das Zahnfleisch um den Zahn und als letztes der Zahn selbst entfernt. Die Injektionen, die sie gab, waren schnell und schmerzlos und es wurde nur der Zahn betäubt, nicht die Lippen oder Zunge, und das war sehr angenehm. Die Entfernung des Weissheitszahn dauerte nur drei Sekunden, es ging so schnell ich habe überhaupt nichts gespürt, kein Druck, kein Ziehen, kein Schmerz. Es war das schnellste und schmerzloseste Verfahren, das ich überhaupt in einer zahnmedizinischen Praxis gehabt habe, und es war eine überraschend angenehme Gesamterfahrung. Dr. Selmair hat mir versichert dass alles gut würde, und sie war sehr einfühlsam und sympatisch und ich habe sehr großes Vertrauen in sie. Hi. I am a student, living in Munich since 2 years. Couple of months ago, I had a serious problems in my teeth. I was lucky enough because I found a good doctor who could treat me well. I would like to share this experience to help people finding good dentists in Munich. When I had the pains, I visited 2 or 3 doctors but I did not really feel well because they do not speak english fluently, they do not explain to you anything about your teeth situation.... Later, I have visited Dr. Isabel Selmair 'praxis' and there, I could do my treatments comfortably. Dr Selmair speaks fluent english, and the surprising thing is that her assistants speak english as well (they are all my friends :-)). My teeth's problem was quite big (root canal treatment). However, she could handle everything properly, without pains ... In her 'praxis', Dr. Selmair uses the state of the art equipments (she uses tools that I have not seen in the first doctors that I went to). Moreover, I have never had a timing problem (she very punctual in her appointments). I really recommend this Doctor due to her skills, working process... I first went to Dr. Selmair a couple months ago after a colleague recommended her to me. The initial check up and cleaning were great. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I was also individually coached on improving my daily hygiene procedure. Dr. Selmair explained that I needed some fillings and also made sure to explain the differences between some of the filling materials. I especially liked her approach to treating teeth in a minimally invasive fashion. The high quality composite fillings were maybe a little pricey but Dr. Selmair assured me that it was the best choice for my case. Haven't had any problems since the fillings and I'm definitely going back for my semi annual check up in a few months. Frau Dr. Selmair ist eine professionelle und fantastische Zahnärztin, nimmt sich viel Zeit, um mit ihren Patienten individuell die jeweils beste Therapieoption zu besprechen. Dabei ist sie fachlich äußerst kompetent, menschlich warmherzig und verständnisvoll, man fühlt sich einfach rundherum gut aufgehoben und behandelt. I am international student, I can't speak German, and I had really bad tooth pain which was unbearable, I was lucky enough to find Dr. Selmair's clinic. People in clinic speak excellent English which helped to finish administrative stuff really fast. They received me immediately, even though their schedule was packed and almost filled up for that day. It turned out that i need to do root canal treatment. Everything went better than expected, and most important I didn't feel any pain during procedure. Now my tooth is perfectly fine, procedure was really successful. Dr. Selmair was a life saver. I came to her with some pretty nasty teeth. I had been living in America, and wasn't able to afford dental insurance. (I realize this isn't a good excuse for the shape I let my teeth get in, but it was the primary reason I had forgone treatment for so long.) It took multiple visits, but she addressed every dental problem I had, and did a superb job in the process. She and her staff were very calming presences, and the procedures were all pain free. I feel ashamed that I waited so long to have my teeth fixed, but I'm glad I chose to go to her practice to have them fixed. read more

Zuallererst das Wichtigste: Es gibt in dieser Praxis eine perfekte und professionelle Behandlung ! Ich bin schon seit mehreren Jahren bei dieser Praxis, und sie hat mich seitdem weder Behandlungstechnisch noch sonst irgendwie enttäuscht ! Nur zu empfehlen, nicht nur weil Französisch, Deutsch und Englisch fließend gesprochen wird ! Die Praxis befindet sich in bester Lage (Clemensstr. 21A, München). Ich bin beispielsweise mit der U-Bahn bis zur Station Münchner Freiheit gefahren, und dann noch ca. 3min zu Fuß gegangen. Auch Innen ist die Praxis sehr schön. Das ist eine richtig gute und schöne Arztpraxis. Mit der Bahn ist man schnell da, man wartet nicht lange und die Beratung ist top. Meistens ist man ja nicht so gerne beim Zahnarzt, hier ist es aber angenehm, weil es sehr sauber ist, alle freundlich sind und man angesichts der freundlichen Ärztinnen und Angestellten keine Angst haben muss. Selbst wenn es Schwierigkeit mit den Zähnen gibt, dann wird nach einer guten Lösung gesucht, mit der man auch zufrieden sein kann. Der Besuch lohnt sich auch auf jeden Fall, wegen der guten Ärztin und der netten Betreuung. Ich bin sehr sehr zufrieden! read more

Angst brauch man vor diesem Zahnärzte team mit sichrheit nicht haben...unglaublich kompetent auf jede frage eine antwort, und dadurch wird einem ein sicheres gefühl vermitellt wer denkt das man schmerzen haben muss der irrt sich hier wird sehr fein und vorsichtig gearbeitet....!!!Auch die hygienestandarts sind super gut!!! und super schöne einrichtig sehr klassisch und stilvoll...selbstverständlich immer aktuelle zeitschriften.. I had such a great experience with Dr. Isabel Selmair and her team! Since I only speak English, I was nervous about finding a dentist in Germany, but both Dr. Selmair and their team speak fluent English, which made everything so much easier. Kompetent und klare, ruhige Erklärung und Behandlung.
