Dr Glusa saw me 3 times for Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss. He never explained the seriousness of this diagnosis and that if not treated immediately it would almost certainly result in permanent hearing loss. On the second visit he prescribed oral steroids and when they didn't work he said I could take more if I wanted. He didn't explain that inaction could mean I would never hear from my left ear again. Luckily I sought a second opinion and I was urged to have steroid injected into the eardrum, something Dr Glusa never mentioned. The new doctor told me that this was standard protocol in the case of SSHL. Four months later I have fully regained my hearing. If i had accepted Dr Glusa's advice I would be deaf in my left ear now. I'm a professional musician, so this would have ended my career. I do not recommend Dr Glusa. read more
