We hired D R Watson to perform a deep clean of our new house in October before we moved in and he agreed to do a professional 'tenancy clean' which included all the services listed on his website (http://drwatsoncleaningservice.com/services/end-of-tenancy-cleaning/). On arrival he demanded cash payment before he would start the work which we paid to him in good faith. We received no further contact from him that day so happily assumed everything had been completed as agreed. When we returned home that evening it was clear that he had not attempted to clean the majority of the house - for example, the kitchen cupboards and defrosted fridge/freezer had not been touched, none of the light switches or sockets had been sanitised, the windows were not done, etc. The work that was completed (e.g. bathroom) was done to a poor standard. We tried to contact him immediately via phone, text and email, including leaving voicemails but he didn't respond. We finally received an email a month later in which he admitted that he had not performed a full clean of our house. We emailed him the very next day to request a refund due to the fact that we had paid for a full clean that hadn't been done. We also chased him again a week later, but to date we have heard nothing from him. read more
