First time visiting Dragon Cafe and I was pleasantly surprised! This place is super busy with a bunch of customers inside and to-go orders coming through! They have a sushi bar but it wasn't open so it took a little longer to come through the main kitchen. But the place was beautiful and had nice music on! We got 3 special rolls from their large menu of sushi! Hands down best shrimp tempura I have ever had in a roll. The crunchiest piece in every bite and amazing spicy tuna. Our favorite was the Nebraska Husker Roll. The 2011 roll had so much fresh sushi with a ponzu sauce on the side that was perfection. My only complaint was that the eel sauce had zero flavor and that's my favorite sauce usually. So much more to try at this place and definitely will come back for their large Chinese food menu too! Wow! What a hidden gem! My sister and I chose this as our next sushi place to rate and we were impressed. The variety of the menu is awesome! You must get the 2011 Roll. Trust me! The place is so well decorated, down to the awesome red carpet! Be aware, lunch is busy. We heard the door dash sound multiple times and it took a while to get our rolls out. All the times I have been here, service has always been amazing whether it's quiet or more busy. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a busy night, but we found out when we got home that we failed to get what we actually ordered. Called the restaurant only to be told that the person answering could not help us and a manager needed to call us back.. which took another thirty minutes. Stopped by here on a whim after a doctors appointment. It was about 4:00 in the afternoon, so before the dinner rush. There were 2 other tables of people. The server was very pleasant and the food came out quickly. I order hot and sour soup, 4 crab Rangoons, and chicken egg foo young with steamed rice. All of the food was delicious and tasted very fresh. There were 3 huge egg foo young pieces in my ordered, and I was able to finish one. Stopped for a spur of the moment lunch on a Sunday afternoon at two. Not pictures I'd the Hot and Sour Soup, not amazing, but good. The egg roll was really good and fresh, very flavorful. The crag Ragoon was so-so. I'm not a huge fan of crab Ragoons so I'm probably not the best to judge them. My wife did like them, but she likes them everywhere we go. My wife enjoyed her beef and broccoli, a very generous portion. My Shrimp Egg Phoo Young was really good. I like that they serve the sauce on the side. The sauce was very savory. Pretty good prices for chinese food here, was able to get 2 entrees and an appetizer for $25. As far as taste and quality goes, it's definitely average. Ordered chicken and beef fried rice with crab rangoons. I really enjoyed the crab rangoons but the fried rice wasn't anything special. Three stars is generous and the only reason I didn't give them two is because last night we had really good food there, however the staff hates their job and is completely lacking in personality. I don't know about you but I'm sick and tired of people that hate their jobs but go to work anyway. I've been going to Dragon Café since the mid-80s and it used to be my absolute favorite place to get Chinese food. Over time the quality has varied greatly ! sometimes it's just not good most of the time it's edible and convenient and occasionally like last night it was really good , except I don't want to be treated like a pain in the ass when I order takeout. My family and I have been customers of Dragon Cafe for over 20 years. My daughter is 25 now and she was in a car seat when we started eating here. The staff are kind and helpful. The food is great! Portions have always been good for the price of the food. I love their Hot and Sour soup, best I have had anywhere else! Not a Sushi fan but have been told it is VERY good! This place was great. I'm looking for places to dine at near my home and this one was one of the first I've been to post pandemic. Everything looked clean and sanitized. This review will be more fun than my last one, considering the experience was pretty good. I went to Dragon Cafe with my father in law - just the two of us. Call it father in law - son in law bonding. Dragon Cafe reminds me of the Chinese restaurants I used to visit when I was a kid. The decorations are all red, gold and gaudy. But, the menu changes that. They have a very extensive variety of items, some you would not expect to see in Omaha, Nebraska. They also have a sushi bar and some Japanese and Korean items on the menu. We started with hot tea and shrimp and vegetable tempura. I had one of the shrimp - the panko was a little thick, but otherwise the shrimp was good. I've never had asparagus tempura before, and it was delightful. Other vegetables included broccoli, carrots and onions. Art ordered a "Happy Family" take-off. It had chicken, beef and shrimp with a variety of Chinese veggies. It was served in a brown sauce that was a little hot and a little sweet. So we wouldn't duplicate meats, I ordered Kung Pao Pork. That was not quite as good - it was kind of bland and the pork was too soft. (Too much MSG?) Both items were marked "spicy", but they really didn't pass that test. All in all though, it was good. We also had steamed rice - both brown and white. The price was right, the service excellent, and the food good. Next time I'm out that way, I do plan to go again. read more

I have been super impressed with this place, and is now one of my favorite chinese stops. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and has a comfortable relaxing feel to it. The service is fantastic. Soups are wonderful and I love the Hunan Beef. They have these little flavor packed beans in the sauce and they really make the dish. This has been my pretty much only go to Chinese spot for 4 years. The food is fresh, I've seen the staff trimming fresh green beans. Some of my favorites are the egg drop soup, sweet n sour soup, egg roles, potstickers, crab Rangoon, beef and green bean, Mongolian beef, and vegetable entrees. You can make any order spicy. The steak is tender, unlike some Chinese places where you have to chew meat 20x. I love getting the soup by the quart. And the prices are super reasonable. Yesterday afternoon I was craving some Triple Delight and my new fave was closed, thought I'd give this place another shot. Mistake!!! I went in to order and the place smelled funny, got home with my order and a third of it was big chunks of near raw mushrooms, tough, stringy chicken & beef and not a whole lot of any other veggies. I've decided to update my review after having eaten the sushi on a couple more occasions. I must say that, after trying the sushi a few more times, I think the restaurant was better off without it. My wife, friends and I have all noticed a steep drop-off in the quality of the sushi here. I don't know if the sushi was really that good to begin with or if I was just happy to have the all you can eat option. Either way, I can't honestly keep this place at four stars with such mediocre sushi on the menu. Concurrent with the decline in sushi quality, we have all started to notice that the normal meals themselves have also gotten worse over time, as has the service. I still recommend the place, but it seems that it has gone downhill a bit from what I remember it being. read more
