After a short walk in town, I opted for having the afternoon tea at The Priory. The restaurant was packed and I waited a few minutes to be seated. Ordered tea, scone, clotted cream and jam. The service was fast, interior was charming and quaint and the scone was delicious. It hit the right spot and I enjoyed unwinding at The Priory for a while before heading out on the tour bus to the next spot. Great experience and a short visit.

The restaurant was a bit drab and looked like it hadn't been decorated since the 80s. The food was takeaway quality. Service was OK. But since we're in the Cotswolds, and this is probably the only Chinese/Asian restaurant for miles and miles, it gets 3 stars from me. At least the prices are cheap and the portions are massive. It was a leap of faith as there weren't any Yelp reviews to help guide us. I am so happy to report that the service was excellent from the moment I called and placed the order. A friendly voice efficiently took my order, confirmed it and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Exactly 15 minutes later I arrived to a warm smile and friendly welcome. The food was packaged up in an excellent Asian-inspired cardboard carrier. The aroma from the box was intoxicating for the short journey back home. I have, this evening, eaten my 3rd take away from this chinese take out…read more Firstly I would like to make the point that the ONLY reason this is my 3rd time is because I live incredibally local to the business, and foolishly kept giving it a another go hoping for improvement, as there is only one other take away on this housing estate. ALL 3 times i have eaten here my meals have been incredibally disappointing, poorly cooked and to be quite honest rather foul. However tonight's meal by far tops them all. Not only as normal, was the taste frankly foul but the chicken within my sauce was still pink in the middle and clearly undercooked. In all honesty i cannot understand how this take away still has a customer base or indeed is still even open, as in my opinion, with particular regards to my latest dinner this take away serves food that is not fit for human consumption!
