The teacher, Markis, was very good and encouraging, call my bad breaks "happy mistakes" I took a 4 visit class and wanted to go a little deeper so it took me more but my piece was really nice. I wanted to take a class to make stain glass. I signed up and went with another friend. I wasnt sure if I could actually do the stain glass due to my health problems. I wanted to try and see. It cost $100 for the beginner class. I have to agree with Otis. The teacher was not the best teacher. There were six taking a new class and one lady trying to fix a window. We had to come back. Some of it was my own doing but it wasn't free to come back and finished the project. I was pretty annoyed when I came back and there were other people there. We scheduled at a specific time so we would not overlap. We did over lap and it took forever again to finish this project. Also, she really wanted me to do EVERYTHING. My hands don't work well and some of the work was just way to hard for me to do. The instructor also was frustrated that I wasn't doing things the way she showed me. Again, she knew I had health problems and it literally hurt to do it. I would not go back to do any other classes. read more

My pendant was ruined because of their lack of detail. I had a person breathing down my neck, trying to rearrange MY pendant & even DOING things to it. I was COMPLETELY uncomfortable with this person. She was in my space the entire time yet didn't ensure that I had what I actually NEEDED so the pendant I worked on for over two hours was RUINED because they didn't give me the correct piece of glass to cover it for firing, the last step in the process & they MISS IT? Rather than invite me back to do it again, Markis RECREATED my item, sent that and my ruined item to me. Didn't offer my money back, didn't offer another class, just recreated my item & figured I'd go away quietly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Its dirty & unorganized. They were absolutely unprepared when we arrived. I believe Markis really knows his stuff, the recreation he did is lovely but what is the point?!?!? I wasted two hours! He is probably a wonderful teacher However, I wouldn't know that because I was completely overwhelmed by this other person who OBVIOUSLY doesn't know what she's doing. When I asked questions, she said "Now you're getting ahead of yourself!" She kept me apart from my three friends who were learning, which is the entire point of us going. RIDICULOUS! Markis should have called her away so I could feel a part of the group. I was quite happy to be out of there because it was SO uncomfortable but I was excited to see how my work came out in spite of the awkward & negative feeling I had about the class itself. My item comes back ruined, that's horrible! This was A TOTALLY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE!!!!! There are a bunch of places to go for this type of thing, do not go here, it was AWFUL! read more
