It's a full mind body and spirit work out whether you're just doing kick boxing Muay Thai or Jiu-Jitsu. The staff is wonderful. You become family. They have a variety of services available for all ages. This is hands down - the best workout you can come across in the Lower Hudson Valley area! They helped me to tone up and build core and upper body strength that I never had before. This establishment is good for all ages. He promotes a sense of team environment in the class so you feel included like everyone is working towards their goals together. I liked this because at my last kickboxing studio in new city that closed down I felt like I didn't know anyone and we didn't take the time to get to know people in the class. Now I feel more motivated to go to the classes because of the friends I have made. In terms of the workout...it's definitely intense but I loved it because I'm looking for something challenging that will burn a lot of calories. In the beginning I felt like I needed to take breaks but as I got stronger I could go through the whole class without one. I also like the fact that the workout plans switch weekly so it never gets boring. Overall very impressed. I suggest going for the free trial class to see for yourself!

Once you sign up for a year, you are bound by the contract for an entire year. If your kid decides after two months that TaeKwonDo is not for them, too bad! You owe for an entire year. He knows his stuff and is awesome with kids. A women-only environment can be much more comfortable than a co-ed gym, and the variety of workout options is definitely better than a one-trick pony like Curves. However, I had some problems with this location. First, the employees are really not fitness experts. I don't know if they have credentials or not, they probably do, but they recommend using the weight machines in ways that are downright risky. I would recommend that if you plan to start a workout / strength-training routine, you do some of your own research on doing so safely and properly. Secondly, and this is the real reason I am giving them 2 stars -- the contract has been written so that you must cancel in writing or your membership renews every month. At this point I know better and never assume a membership is canceled just because someone tells me it won't automatically renew. But when I was 19 and still a little naive, and spoke to the woman at the front desk to ensure that my membership was not going to renew after I moved out of the state, she assured me I had nothing to worry about, that I had a 6 month membership and that after the 6 months was up, it wouldn't renew unless I asked them to. Guess what? A few months later, they sent me to collections. Trying to settle this directly with Lucille Roberts was fruitless, as the contracts are negotiated through corporate, who insisted that anything I was told at the Lucille Roberts location didn't amount to a hill of beans. So there I went, paying a few hundred that I didn't have for a gym I hadn't even been in the same state as for months. Thanks, Lucille! If you join, keep your paperwork, don't listen to the people who work there (they have no clue about fitness OR business practices), and remember that gym memberships are often out to scam members.
