That place stole stuff off my boat and gas from on the back end.we called the omro Police on them. They screwed up the engine on my boat. A 60 horse engine and it moves so slow now a canoe passed me up. Before they screwed it up that boat flew. They tell me im so stupid i cant start so i brought it back and they could not start it either. That place is a super clusterfuck I want to see if the D.a will press charges. Steer Clear of this shop! Dropped off my boat April 15, 2023 for a small engine upgrade. Was told by owner 4 week turn around. Two weeks later called him and no work was started. Asked again about turn around. He said would find a way to have done by memorial day. Two days after my call motor was pulled. 13 weeks after drop off, after numerous excusses, after numerous calls and texts with no replys, after stopping in to find out what's going on I am told I can use my boat for the weekend. 1.5 hours of easy use and my motor blows up. I had planned on taking my boat in for winterizing at another location. As I was ready to pull the boat out of the garage, one of the brake's locked up & I was unable to get it out. I called a couple of places & no one was willing to come out to take care of the situation but one place told me Drakes maybe able to help. Called Drakes & Mark came to my place to fix the brake & winterized the boat right in my garage!! Fantastic service. Mark was quite friendly, professional & did an excellent job. Stay away from doing anything with drakes marine, he will rebuild your boat motor with all used parts from older parts I gave Mark Drake money down to rebuild a boat engine in the spring of this year, each time I stopped in he said the parts are on the way so I asked him for proof a receipt he could not provide me with it, all he did was make up a bill of sale on his computer, no tracking number for parts and refused to give the money back for the so called parts. I had too higher a Attorny to get it back, four attorneys said it was a conflict of interest, dealing with Mark Drake before,TOTAL CROOKS, stay away and get your boat fixed elsewhere.
