The box was to replace a cheap particle board kitchen drawer box that the original homeowners had installed. Piece of advice, in areas with a high chance of liquid spilling into the drawer box, go the extra distance and get a solid wood drawer. So, I went online to find a place which would do the drawer. What I found out was, the dimensions of the drawer were not to today's standard, some came close but it was not exact. Some more searching and I found Drawer Connection's website www.dcdrawers.com, an American company which I will take over anything pre-manufactured overseas. I was able to get the drawer box I needed and even had them pre-drill the faceplate holes perfectly. I was worried due to the heavy rains, that the drawer might get wet but it was heavily wrapped in plastic and the edge protected. It probably could have snowed on it then thawed and there wouldn't have been a problem. The drawer looked lovely after pulling all the packaging off it. While the sides were not one piece of wood, the construction was of a good design so that it should be as strong as a single piece with good interweaving and glue surface. All the wood surfaces were slightly laminated giving it a good look and probable moisture protection. My only complaint is the the drawer was not perfectly flat when laid on a table or other flat surface. The drawer was warped by aout 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. This isn't a problem per say unless you can't fit the drawer into the cabinetry but most designs allow for a little leeway and it didn't bother the fit of the drawer box into the cabinet. I would taken off a -1/2 star for the warpage, but the packaging and attentiveness to service of the people I emailed would have given it a +1/2 star.
