A pleasing selection of home-made cakes and scones and other treats tempt the taste-buds, with panninis, cebattas and wraps being the main part of the sandwich selection. Everything is well-made and the staff are courteous and friendly. Still looks pretty good though, and head and heels above the other cafes in town (yuck) and especially when compared to what it used to look like six years ago before it became Mocca-Moocha. If you have read my other reviews you will realise I am a design snob (!). Adequate seating inside and out, all food is placed on display and the prices are reasonable in comparison to the large franchises and chains throughout the town, and i would choose this place and Grind coffee shop above them any day. It is very popular being in an ideal location. Keep on going Mocca-Moocha! I will update this review as this cafe improves!

Went there for the first time today and will definitely go back. The menu has everything from all day breakfasts, to burgers, pies and ploughman platters. I went for the "make your own" platter of sausage roll, ham, scotch egg, pork pie and bread. It was delicious. Just enough for one ! I would definitely recommend this place - the breakfasts look amazing as does the afternoon teas they do! I will definitely be going back!

I am a sucker for decorations in my foam and the coffee didn't taste burnt at all( what a relief, so many places burn their espresso) It was a pretty close walk along the river from where I was staying but I noticed there was plenty of street parking around. When I walked in, I was greeted by really pleasant servers (one was an american, woot!) and they mentioned that they had free wifi (wireless internet) which really saved me! There were lots of tables and some outlets available for laptops. Seems like a good place to get some studying in. I will definitely frequent this place the next time I am in Sheffield.

It's not exactly huge but they've maximised the seating available and we were able to quickly grab a table and order some food before having to head over to the Little Kelham development. I opted for a simple croissant and bottle of passionfruit Lemonaid (the only other place I've seen this recently is Ezra & Gil in Manchester, so I didn't want to pass up on the opportunity!) but the savoury food counter is really worth mentioning. There are bowls of salad piled high, sandwiches, and a selection of meats you can add to your selection. Everything looked really vibrant and fresh. My croissant was served warm with butter and jam, which is always a plus in my book. The warmed panatone my colleagues ordered looked - and smelt - delicious also. A really friendly place with bags of personality and warmth. The development of Kelham Island will presumably only be a good thing for them!

First off I have to say it's a lovely quirky cafe full of decorative items, flowers and home made foods to buy. It's very bright and welcoming and probably the nicest place to sit and have a non alcoholic drink in Stocksbridge. I had nothing to eat in the cafe so I can't comment on the food, my review is solely from a coffee lovers point of view. First off I had an Americano, and I have to say I was hugely dissapointed. I expected it be near perfect after I saw the espresso maker in the shop. It was served with no creme at all and I could hardly taste the espresso flavor. It was just like a very weak watered down coffee, so weak that it almost looked like a cup of tea (without milk!). Undoubtedly the worse Americano ever! I wondered whether the owner had ever had a proper Americano before. Surely if you're going to put the expense into selling such beverages you should at least take the time to go and learn how they should be prepared. I really hope he reads this review and visits a Cafe Nero, Starbucks or Costa etc and experiences a proper Americano, ie decent creme, and strong! After the Americano I had an espresso which was just about perfect. Probably not as strong as I'd have liked but thick creme and very nice. However the owners lack of experience or knowledge about coffee really came to light when I asked for the it. He asked if I wanted it in a normal size cup or an espresso cup and then he asked if I wanted it with milk!!!!!!!! C'mon pal, sort it out!!!!!!!!! I'll certainly not be back for coffee until I hear they've started doing things properly. I wish them all the luck in the world though because this place has potential and the food does look superb, especially the homemade cakes. Please please please sort your coffee out!

It was a tough Sunday morning to say the least, yet as I struggle to sleep in when I've enjoyed a few too many beverages the night before, I was up and about the blustery streets of Sheffield while my friends continued to snooze of the regrettable last round. I pulled out my trusty pocket pal Yelp and looked for a coffee shop that could sort my head and settle my stomach and up pops Valerie. A chocolate cup cake with raspberry frosting and a standard flat white later and I was on my way to feeling human again. Manchester's little sister is doing alright.
