Seems like an unreliable company or one with weak processes. I ordered a remote, went on radio silence. When I sent a reminder after a week, suddenly they sent me a tracking email. Hired them a few years ago. BEWARE. They will try to upsell you on everything and it is much more expensive then if you buy on your own and have someone install. But not totally unhappy about that. I spent 12k hiring them to put in a premium sound system. It is average at best. It has broke many times since installed. They sold me a remote (universal) and it never worked - and still doesn't. One time they put the HDMI cables in wrong and each time they come over - it is 150. AND THEY DO NOTHING. And IMO - they intentionally sell you things that are intended to break. My universal remote. My tv. My tuner. The bass. Sound system. The last time I had it. I called them and explained the situation. The sound system was not working, I had a new TV, and just needed them to cover over and help me mount it and put in the right HDMI. The guy they sent was clueless. He told me what I already knew - took my 150 (again for the 4th time) - and when I called asking what it was I paid for (I explained in detail what I needed over the phone and he came over clueless) - he left, charged 150, and said he could come back over, sell me a TV (already had bought a new one) and for another 150 they would install it. When I called today upset and peeved - they basically said too bad for you. What do you want us to do about it? Very cocky and condescending. The two brothers always are and have been. I told them I would like for them to come over and do what I asked them to originally - just mount the TV I bought. He literally unplugged my TV, came over TOTALLY unprepared and clueless, and told me what I already knew. And they push other products on you they get for wholesale or at cost and convince you it is the best out there (like the universal remote I paid I believe 500 for, and anothe 200-300 for them to make it work - but what they didn't say is each time I change a DVD player, a cable box, whatever - you can't do it alone. You have to hire these morons to come over for 150 to do. BEWARE. SHADY. FIND SOMEONE ELSE. If you want to be conned and treated like crap - call them. I just said I wanted what any good business person would want - what I paid for. They wanted another 150 plus would not come over unless I bought a TV from them.What on earth. I have a TV. Told them what I needed help with (just mounting which I can hire from craigslist for 50 bucks to do). I called them to be loyal - but they won't be loyal back to you. The world of HT is complicated, and I was having trouble making a decision on my next projector purchase as no one locally has the ones I was interested to demo (let alone sell). Also, most shops I have spoken to either didn't know what the heck they were talking about, had deceptive policies, or were only interested in making a sale and didn't care about the customer experience. But this review is really about technical knowledge and customer engagement. After seeing the depth of Dreamedia's videos I thought I would give them a call as a Hail Mary attempt to see through their eyes, with them in Texas and me in Ontario Canada Kellen took the time to talk me through all my questions and concerns, even after I made it clear up front that it likely wouldn't result in a sale because of our distance (not to mention that it would end up costing more with duties and taxes). His knowledge was leaps ahead of anyone I have spoken to elsewhere and he had a way of explaining things that would otherwise need you to see it with your own eyes. He also was able to bust myths and call out when the hype or complaintsnon the web were far fetched. This experience has made it clear that I should reevaluate who I've trusted for information over the years; it was that polarizing and enlightening. Reliable, Knowledgeable, Reasonably priced, innovative and trustworthy. This is how I would describe Dreamedia. We just moved here from California and hired a "recommended company" to install a theater system throughout our home which has 10 tv's over multiple rooms including 2 outdoor tv systems and Music system. The original company was overpriced and under experienced on installing our theater system. We then hired Dreamedia from the excellent reviews to repair the damage we had from the original install. From the moment Zach walked in and looked at our previously installed system he knew just what needed to be done to repair and complete our previous install. His company is always taking classes so that they are updated with the latest in new technology and theater systems. He also works with other installers so he can offer all aspects of whole home theater system install and upgrades. *** UPDATE *** The owner, Zach, sent me a txt message after reading my review and said he wanted to "help me with my issues" directly. I called him and he was very angry and proceeded to deny all of the problems that I found. I asked him what is the purpose of this call since I thought he wanted to help me with my issues. He then started yelling at me and told me that my review was harming his reputation. I asked him again how he plans to help me with my issues and then he proceeded to call me a liar several times so I hung up on him. He then started calling me again so I blocked his number. His comment on my review is 100% not true. I gave his company several chances to fix the issue and they wouldn't do it. *** I hired this company a few years ago to do 2 home theater installations, 2 TV mounts, and ethernet wiring to a few rooms in the house. I spent a ton of money on labor and equipment from them and the work Zach did was very sloppy and substandard. The first thing that went wrong was the bass speaker in the bigger home theater. It would intermittently make a buzzing sound and cut in and out. I looked at it and found that they used crimp connectors but didn't bother to actually crimp the connectors on, so the connector was loose on both ends. I had to buy a crimp tool and fix it myself. Then some weeks later, the ethernet connections started to fail and go slower in some rooms. I bought an ethernet tester and found faults in several of the lines they ran. When I looked in the attic at the hidden wiring, I found that they cut all kinds of corners where ever I couldn't see what they did. I found things like wires cut and taped back together instead of using a proper wire splice. This shouldn't be done for any kind of wire, let alone high speed ethernet. I also found that they didn't follow any particular ethernet wiring standard, and had the wires done differently on each end in some cases. Fast forward to 2020 and the receiver in the main home theater is shutting itself off every day and going into fault protection mode. Finally I decided to call them to bring them back onsite to check on this and the lady who answered the phone told me that the business is no longer owned by Zach and they now refer or subcontract everything. She told me that she has heard many complaints about Zach's sloppy wiring work but was quick to tell me that she would not warranty any of the work because it had been too long since the original install, and also said that any wiring problems would have shown up right away and not over time (which is not true). But she said not to worry because Zach has learned a lot about wiring in the last few years and does a much better job now, but also that Zach doesn't do installs anymore and is only acting as a consultant! She referred me to some other company that came out and charged me $149 and put some electrical tape around some frayed wires going into the receiver. The technician admitted that the wiring at the receiver end was sloppy and done wrong with the wrong type of speaker wire. He also said that at this point, the damage to the receiver may be permanent and I'd probably have to replace the receiver. Whatever they did for $149 didn't fix anything as the sound started cutting out the very next day. I called them back and they told me to either send the receiver back to the manufacturer or get a new one. No mention of the $149 that I paid them for work which didn't fix anything. read more

After talking to several media installers over the phone and in person, I chose Zach and his Dreamedia team to install a 5.1.2 theater, 5.1 living room, and two outdoor speakers. From the beginning they were great to work with. Very willing to work with some of my existing equipment and made recommendations and creating the best setup with new and old. His prices on equipment were better than retail, and his labor quotes were competitive. On the install, the team did a high quality job. It has been a few months, and there have been no issues with setup or calibration since. Only complaint is that the install took much longer than what was estimated, which increased the total bill. Would still highly recommend them though. And if you want to mount a TV above a high fireplace mantle, ask Zach about the hydraulic mount to magically lower the TV when watching it. I ordered a Epson LS11000 on the website on 8/1/23 with 5-8 business day delivery. The evening of 8/7 I went on the website and used the chat feature to request a tracking number as I did not see anyway for them to meet their delivery deadline. Employee Kellen told me there was a problem with my order and he had tried calling me. I was required to leave my email and phone number at the time I ordered. I don't like giving out my phone number as I get too many spam calls so when required I just give a false number. I understand why he could not reach me by phone, but don't understand why he did not try emailing me. He tells me the problem is the price of $3499.00 on the website is incorrect and the coupon that popped up as I was on their website for 10% off my first order could not be used even though I have the credit card charge and receipt proving it worked just fine. We spoke early on 8/9 and he agreed to honor the $3499.00 if I would pay the coupon amount of $350.00. I reluctantly agreed if would assure me my order would ship on 8/9. He assured me and sent me an invoice for $350.00. I paid it at 9AM on 8/9. I messaged on the website on 8/10 at noon for the tracking number and he deferred to employee Hannah who said it would go out today 8/10. Zach and his team are excellent! We have been debating on upgrading our TV and finally decided to proceed with a wall mounted OLED to keep it out of reach of curious toddlers. After a few inquiries, I decided to work with Dreamedia due to prompt return calls and quotes, fair price, and good reviews. Zach was able to obtain the TV I wanted with an additional discount over what was currently available from any local vendors (big box or otherwise), brand new. Our viewing needs required the ability to have the TV angled in a corner due to our living room setup. Zach used a heavy duty full motion mount which works beautifully and was able to mount our DVD player and streaming box out of sight while not affecting the ability to use our remotes. Our installation also included a new power outlet which has made the area safe for our kids to play and much nicer than our prior arrangement. A few weeks ago I was on YouTube looking for ways to upgrade my home theater system. I came across numerous videos by Dreamedia Home Theater on installing home systems. I was so impressed that I contacted them. I got in touch with Zach. Told him what I was wanting to do. After numerous emails, Zach suggested that I should upgrade to a Klipsch speaker system. He said I should get the Klipsch Pro-180 RPW in-wall speakers and a Klipsch RP504C center channel. I ordered the speaker system, and they arrived 3 business days later. Before cutting into the walls, I found a gas line that goes to my fireplace, stopping my install. Again I contacted Zach of my problem.I told him I needed to send back the wall speakers because of the gas line. He said send them back and he will refund my credit card fully. Yesterday I sent the speakers back with the tracking numbers. He contacted me and said he had credited my credit card fully even before the speakers arrived at his company. I again contacted Zach thanking for the swift refund. I also told him I wanted to order 2 pair of Klipsch RP600M speakers for my upgrade seeing how the in-wall setup was not an option. After throwing prices back and forth,Zach agreed to a price. He sent me a new invoice for the price agreed to and I sent him payment on the spot. When he received my payment,he sent out the speakers right away. Zach has bent over backwards to make sure I received what I needed to make this customer happy and satisfied.
