Absolutely Awful! I booked my wedding reservation here because I thought it would be wonderful. I cancelled because it would take 3 flights to get there and the rooms weren't going to work for my guests. According to their policy if you cancel within 6 months of your date you get a full refund. It's not that they've refused to give me a refund it's almost worse, they've just ghosted. I cancelled in October and it is now January! 750! They are so unprofessional. Do not risk your money here and do not work with their wedding department, Andrea Alvarez has not been in her office or answered the phone and she's made nothing but false promises. Do not trust them. At this point my only saving grace is that I'm not getting married here thank the lord! 7/29 - First contacted Dreams Huatulco about our wedding 8/2 - First response from Andrea Alvarez received 8/8 - Sent wire transfer for $750 to hold 8/8/19 for our date to Andrea Alvarez 10/15 - Sent email to cancel wedding reservation to Andrea Alvarez 10/30 - Received email confirmation of cancelation Andrea Alvarez 11/14 - called about refund told it would be there by 11/30 12/8 and 12/9 - called about refund, wasn't able to reach Andrea Alvarez 12/19 - called 4 times, wasn't able to reach Andrea Alvarez 12/20 - called and talked to accounting 12/21 - called 5 times, talked to accounting and Andrea Alvarez and was told it would be there by 12 /24 12/27 - called and talked to Andrea Alvarez assistant and she said everyone was gone for the holidays 1/8 - filed complaint with Better Business Bureau and Complaints Board, emailed Andrea Alvarez read more

Wow what can say bad, bad , bad We went there for a time share meeting and decided to say 1 night so check it out. Man was it not to par with the secrets down 1 mile away. First of all the food was horrible. When we were there, the hotel had a power outage and took out most of the power to the hotel most of the restaurants were closed and only one was restaurant open and didn't have many choices of food. Since the power was out there was no AC in our room and it was like an inferno in there. We stayed and secrets before and it's like night and day. Secret is more elegant, the service is amazing and the drinks are great and the food is very gourmet. I'll never go back again. read more

Nice location with good views and service. Food was another story, mostly big buffets serving lousy food. We ended up going to restaurants outside the hotel in search of a decent meal. If you like to golf, good but hard course nearby. read more

Everything was great at the hotel until I got home and got my bank statements. It was our last day and I was running short on cash I thought I had read in the hotel information that a $50 cash advance could be gotten at the front desk. When I asked about this the girl at the desk asked, isn't the ATM working? After telling me where it was located I attempted to withdraw $200 from my checking account. When I got to the service charge it was $103.11! I immediately cancel the transaction. While walking away I thought that couldn't be right it had to be in pesos which would have been a six or seven dollar service charge. I went back to the ATM and attempted to withdraw the $200 a second time and sure enough it was a $103.11 USD service charge, once again I cancel the transaction and decided just to get by on my remaining cash. When I checked my bank statement after I got home there were two charges for $103.11 Plus a $3 additional ATM charge!!! And never did get the $200. If this is known to the hotel it is an absolute outrage! I have some phone calls into the hotel but I have not heard anything back yet. By the way I'm sorry to say that the cleaning people only got a $10 tip for a one week stay. All I could afford, sorry girls! read more
