Summary: Poor communication, repeated no shows, two days work took three weeks and they jacked the price in the middle of the work. Read on for details if you want... First the quote had to be redone because it was not what I asked for. I was given a tentative start as sometime during the week of May 14 but the prior Thursday had not heard from anyone at Dreamscapes to confirm. I called and was told work would start Monday, May 14. They were a no-show on the 14 so I called and was told work would start on the Tuesday the 15th. They were a no-show again so I went to the their office that afternoon and met with Zach, explained that the crew did not show up and asked when work would start. Zach could not find my paperwork, then asked whether I was satisfied with phase1 of the work. I explained a second time that I received zero communication, that the crew was a no-show twice and that no work had been done. He looked shocked, eventually telling me that he would be at my home on Thursday the 17th to mark the property and work would begin that day. He then handed me a can of spray paint and told me to mark the property myself. That afternoon, Tuesday the 15th, a subcontracted crew showed up at 5:30 PM. I never saw Zach. The crew worked on an off, a few evenings here, an afternoon there and one full day laying sod. To their credit they did great work but were obviously fitting my work around their regular customer schedule. One week into the work I got a call claiming that materials had been left off the quote and that I would have to pay several hundred dollars more. I did get one call from Zach about weather delays preventing sod delivery. This is expected and the call was appreciated. They are obviously taking in more business then they are able to complete and it shows. I will not contract with this company again. read more

DreamScapes is not a reliable company. They did tranform the look of my front yard but Janette made a huge mistake by placing 5 bushes in the wrong sun exposue. Three of the bushes required shade and were planted in full sun. The leaves crisped up and eventually died. The two bushes planted in shade required sun. Richard looked at the bushes and said Janette would be in touch with me, that was 3 years ago, still no Janette. If I didn't pay them almost $20,000, maybe I would not be so upset. Richard does not stand behind his work or word. I suggest strongly not use this company. I am sure they will try to block my review. They under bid a project on our home. We had a signed contract and then they tried to get more money out of us. They removed ivy from our neighbor's yard instead of ours and offered no apology to the neighbor. We were going to have them do all of our yard maintenance and I'm so glad we didn't do it. They should have admitted their own mistake instead of asking us to pay for it. They don't honor their agreements. I think it's important for people looking to higher a maintenance company to know this. If you sign a contract and they decide after that it requires more work, they won't ask, they'll just do it and then bill you after for it. So you have no way of knowing how much it will ultimately cost. I am thankful that we fought it and did not end up paying the increase. read more

We have just finished having major work done by Dreamscapes and We continue to be impressed. If they make an appointment they will be at your home and on time when they say they will. They listened to what we wanted and gave us well researched answers and solutions. The office staff kept us informed, updates, and followed up regularly. The workers were courteous, professional, neat and worked long days. When they finished, the areas they used were left better than they found them. Who charges $50 to come to your home for an estimate; Dreamscapes does. We need drainage and landscaping which would be more than $5000. Are you kidding- Mr. Owner; we will use a company that has common sense and not looking to nickel and dime us! Huge mistake! read more

The owner wasted 3 months of my time over promising and under delivering. He charged me $50 for the initial consult and it took forever to even get a quote. Once the quote was received (3 months later), he had used mature plants and other unnecessary costly items and came up $20k over budget! He also was the worst at replying- using mainly email for even the simplest of questions! I had to physically go up to the office to even get a person to talk to me. Once he sent me the quote, I was done. Afterwards, he spoke to my husband with a completely different tune and I can't help but wonder what many told me in the past- that the reason I was getting the runaround is because I'm female. I hope that isn't true, but I can't see any reason why he wouldn't have wanted to complete the job I was ready to pay $45k cash for. It was disheartening. I finally found another company and they were very professional, prompt, helpful, up to date with technology and expedient. My young kids can play in the yard again. read more
