LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dre's Cafe... and so does my doggo! The drinks are amazing. I don't have a usual because I feel like I try something new each time and sometimes I just come in for a juice. Today though, when we came in they were marketing a new latte that wasn't on the menu yet, a blueberry milk latte. It was uh-mazing. I do have a usual food order which is the salmon lox bagel on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, but I decided to switch it up and got the Dre's Breakfast Sando. Pretzel bun, egg, cheese, and some yummy mustardy sauce. So good. Not only do the food and drinks slap, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They always make my dog feel like a celebrity and give him snacks. This review is well overdue as Dre's has been such a great addition to the neighborhood for at least a year now! read more

The food is phenomenal! The breakfast sandwich is huge and I really loved it, and they have a good matcha. Staff gives out free samples of their specialty lemonade every day, plus there's wifi for getting work done. I found this place trying to find something to eat before a concert at the Orpheum. This place is SUPER CUTE! I was greeted immediately as I walked in. The gal at the counter was friendly and patient with me since it was my first time. I told her I was hungry and wanted a filling sandwich. She recommended the Italian. And I chose a Dre's cold brew to wash it down. The sandwich was AMAZING! The cold brew had a vanilla cream top. Dre's is such a cute coffee shop and it helps that every server or barista are sooo nice! But I do think $11-$13 for a matcha latte is on the steeper side. I would go back only if I was treating myself that day. It is very spacious so seems great for a coworking space. read more

We were home for Thanksgiving and staying at what used to be the Ace Hotel (now rebranded), and it was super early on a Sunday--like 6 a.m.--when we noticed Dre's open across the street. Yeh!! We grabbed a breakfast burrito, a breakfast sandwich, a couple of lattes, and ginger shots. First of all, the food is huge. The salsa that came with the burrito is amazing. The interior is clean and really nice. The space is big with two floors, a long banquette running down the left when you walk in, and counter service on the right. Hot new DTLA cafe! Make your way to Dre's Cafe. It's an adorable, clean, and comfortable environment with absolutely delicious and health focused food and drink. The staff are all incredibly lovely - there was not a person that walked in without a "hello" from staff right away. I had the Blue Skies Matcha ($13) and the Lights on Broadway bagel ($18) which was essentially a Salmon Lox. The EVOO and red onions were nice touches. The salmon itself was tender and fresh, and it was loaded! I also grabbed a mini chocolate zucchini bundt cake with sea salt on top ($5) that I'm saving for a sweet treat later today. The menu consists of espresso drinks, so many creative matchas, cream foam toppers, loose leaf teas, spritzers, smoothies and freshly squeezed juices. Stopped by Dre's Cafe for the first time and I was seriously impressed. I ordered a Cortado to start and the chocolate Bundt cake and wow it was amazing. Super smooth, full of flavor, and honestly overall such a great combo. I also got the breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint. One of the best I've ever had, fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, and just overall delicious. The sesame seed bun which was incredible, really made the sandwich. The cafe itself is very beautiful, you can tell there's a lot of thought and care put into the decor. Every detail feels intentional and welcoming. The atmosphere is super peaceful and cozy, the kind of place you actually want to hang out and spend time in. The staff was really friendly and made the whole experience even better. I got a protein shake with espresso and it was $20 which is nuts but again I would come back because it's downtown LA. The girls that were working were very nice.
