Job: Painting unfinished kitchen cabinets and woodwork…read more Pros: Very smooth flawless finish, left no visible cracks or joints, uniform color, cleaned up after himself, honest, trustworthy, punctual, came back to touch up after other contractors nicks, scratches. Cons: Took a little longer than I had hoped it would. Before he started painting, Edmund completely covered our newly tiled floor and all the surfaces adjacent to the cabinets. He then sealed off the room from the rest of the house with plastic sheeting, floor to ceiling, wall to wall. There were 0 chances anything was going to get overspray. He did a lot of sanding both initially and between coats. He used caulking or bondo to make all the joints and seams disappear which is important for a custom, professional appearance. His finished work looked way better than the displays you see in home improvement centers. He used Valspar Zenith lacquer paint and left us about a quart for touch up or color matching later additions. He cleaned up his messes and carefully examined everything he'd done before leaving. We've gotten nothing but compliments on our cabinets and even the painting contractor (different guy) who painted our walls and ceiling seemed envious of the job Edmund had done. He's definitely our first choice for future work.
