Had Kevin attempt to trouble shoot my PC hardware issues, I was told that I would receive a call I did not. I actually called multiple times received nothing back, went in told his mother to give me a call back with my number and nothing. I went in today said hey why do I gotta track you down Kevin? Of course the response was the generic ive been busy. Anyways that point aside kevin is completely unqualified to fix pcs. He argued with me that my pc had onboard graphics because my motherboard had display ports, he didnt seem to understand that not all CPUs run on board graphics mine being a 5900xt. I dropped off my external hard drive on a Thursday 4/25/2019 to get it recovered, Kevin told me most likely it can be recovered about 90% chance and that it would be done in a week. So I said great, was happy to use their services and spend the money. $175 for an evaluation fee and then $420 if they can recover it successfully. They said by Monday they would send me a directory link to my email to be able to see what files come up on the external hard drive. I was really anxious for this as I am in college and needed files for school. They work over the weekend and it would be no problem. Monday comes around no directory link, no progress stated. That's fine, I decided to give it time as I know recovering data takes time. By Wednesday evening I received a voicemail from Kevin stating the hard drive is ready and I can pick it up Thursday morning 5/2/2019 (next day). Super excited to hear this as they said it would take a week. That evening that Kevin called, I was not even present at the store they went ahead and charged me the $420 dollars without any proof of progress or recovered data. I never even received the directory link I was suppose to get. So fine I see they charged my card and I figured I will go tomorrow morning to pick it up. Next morning I am on the way to go pick it up and I am now told it won't be ready till Friday 5/3/2019. And I'm like why? Kevin said it would be ready today. They said they had a power outage and the progress was set back. Well I thought it was recovered and done considering they charged my card $420. At this point I am a little annoyed and upset so I said fine I will wait tomorrow. Friday comes around and I call asking if it's ready to pick up and they said no it's not ready. I go ahead and go in person to see what is going on. They tell me it will for sure be ready by Monday. Monday 5/6/2019 rolls around and I call asking about the progress. I am told it's at 30% by Kevin. At this point I start to feel like he is lying to me. I first received a voicemail from Kevin saying that its ready for pickup Thursday 5/2/2019 and then it's not even ready. So Kevin tells me to call next day 5/7/2019 on a Tuesday. I ask Kevin if I can see any of the progress or any files that may have come up as I am really anxious for certain files for school. Kevin proceeds to tell me that's "its a secret and I am not allowed to see any of the equipment nor my hard drive" this is clearly upsetting, as a customer you should be able to see the equipment and progress or at least YOUR hard drive. Kevin is clearly lying to me about the progress and I no longer feel comfortable about doing services with him. I go ahead and head over to their location to retrieve my hard drive and cancel the order. As I walk in to pick it up, I signed a paper agreeing to pay the $175 evaluation fee but I never agreed upon paying the $420 as this was only agreed to be paid if it's successfully recovered. Since they were clearly not working on my hard drive I figured I would go through my credit card company and dispute the charge. As I was done dealing with Kevin. I don't take lightly people scamming me and stealing my money. I went ahead and disputed the charge and I am guessing Kevin or some employee at the store had the nerve to dispute back and say that I was present among being charged and that the services were completed. First of all Drive Guys closes at 4:30-5:00 p.m during the week. It is closed off to customers around this time. I was charged at 5:18 p.m and on 5/1/2019 on a week day by Kevin. (Paperwork he provided to my credit card company) VERY SHADY. I was not present for the charge and the JOB WAS NOT COMPLETED. I am a 24 year old college student. $420 dollars is a lot of money for me. I am truly disgusted with Kevin who is trying to charge me for a job that wasn't even done and I can't really afford it to begin with. I CANCELED THE ORDER KEVIN YOU SAW ME SIGN THE PAPER ONLY AGREEING TO PAY THE EVALUATION FEE $175. I have proof. I recommend taking your services else where, Kevin is shady and they are THIEVES. read more

I am now adding this review to Yelp as I feel everyone should know how this company operates. Kevin has had my equipment for more than 2 months. I've asked for a refund and for my equipment back and have been given the run around for 2 weeks now about a hard drive. Kevin said he would gladly refund me and return my equipment. I am constantly chasing him down for a status. Supposedly my hard drive was shipped from the west coast of Florida 2 weeks ago and it still has not arrived and Kevin refuses to provide. Me with an update or refund. My next step is to report Kevin RAUB and this business to the better business bureau. This has been the worst experience. Not to mention he charged 175.00 for an evaluation that was completely inaccurate and now that he owes me 425.00 he can not be tracked down along with my hard drive read more

I had a terrible and very expensive experience with Drive Guys. I would never use this merchant again. Brought my iPad in for service. Drive Guys had me pay in full prior to the service which I did. Ten days later I was told to pick it up since the repair could not be accomplished. I brought the iPad to another shop and was told that the iPad could not be serviced because it had been opened and broken. I am still waiting for my refund from Drive Guys. No, your company did NO such communicating with me. The ONLY communicating you did was to tell me that the video card was sent out for repair. No other updaters came from you. In fact, when I came into your shop to pick up my laptop, I told you to your face and in front of your employees that it was VERY unprofessional to NOT advise your customers the status of a repair. You had no clue and confirmed you did not advise me on the repair. It was only after 8 voicemails and 2 messages left with your employees was I able to get in touch with you, and it was only made possible by having one of your staff call you, otherwise, you would have never replied. BEWARE! If you have a Apple computer, Go to the apple store. Don't waste your time here. They don't carry any parts here at all, everything has to be shipped in. After waiting for three weeks for a simple battery, I finally canceled the order, Very bad customer service. never answers his phone, always has a excuse that he's on a service call. He doesn't keep his store hours as posted, Kevin always has an excuse., I finally went to the apple store, battery was in stock... presto it's done in 20 mins.. These guys were great! I work for Capstone Chiropractic and our scanner for exams fell and broke apart. The Drive Guys worked on it and put it back together for us, which saved us so much money instead of buying a new one. When we brought it back to the office we noticed that something had fallen off and we took it back to them and they fixed it with no problem! Now our scanner works like new! I really was excited to have found you, a local business right here in Jupiter, rather than going to a chain like Best Buys or Office Depot, etc., and I really wanted to like doing busness with you. Unfortunately your customer service has fallen short of my expectations. This effort to allow you to make things right has been going on since the end of October. I am only sorry I did not check out your ratings online before I chose to do business with you, as there are already enough poor ratings of your business online already. I think I have given you enough opportunities to redeem yourself, still to no avail. You are not worth persuing this matter any further, and if that $94.34 is that important to you and your business that you would avoid settling this once and for all, then go ahead and keep the money. Took my daughter's laptop in for the $78 System Optimization Special. I was aware there were most likely viruses that had to be removed - not a problem paying the extra $39 for that BUT she was also charged $49.00 just for walking in the door. It was not disclosed that this was an ADDITIONAL charge! I spoke with Kevin and he said maybe next time he could waive the $49 additional charge BUT I will not be bringing my other laptops to them because I feel mislead about their pricing.If you go there BE SURE to get ALL the charges upfront. read more

This company is truly unprofessional in the simplest of aspects: promptness, communication, availability, reliability and friendly service. After having been assured that Drive Guys/ Planet Laptop could repair something as simple as a cracked digitizer in my iPod Touch Fourth Generation with front/back facing cameras, I took my device in to simply have the part replaced as it functioned perfectly well except for it's having an unsightly crack in the glass. Unfortunately this was a YEAR AND A HALF ago and they have failed to repair it, deemed it irreparable, damaged it so much they could NOT recover the personally valuable data including hundred of songs, all my pictures, notes and other important data I had stored on it. I have been offered a device that is not comparable in the least as compensation only after pursuing some legal action after having to call them multiple times every month just to get a simple update on the status of repair, part ordering, new device ordering and such ridiculously drawn-out tasks. I would not trust this company to fix or perform any services on any person's laptop, desktop or any other device especially if you wish to see it within the month that you take it in for repair. I had not been so disappointed with any other business as I have with them and not been lied to on the phone by any other company about something so simple as calling back to say if it is still in repair, what they are doing or ordering and how soon they can get it back. The times we had heard back from this company was less than half of what they promised and it took leaving countless messages and voicemails with them to hope they would pick up and answer some of our questions the next time we called. It is recommend NOT ONE PERSON to go them, they would be better off going to any other computer or electronic repair shop, mobile service or company if they wish to be treated respectably and professionally. read more
