I was referred by another mechanic that we found via Google Maps (who didn't have time that day to work on my car) to Staunton Motors. I am delighted that I was referred to them! Ramin (the owner) and Wess (the mechanic) were WONDERFUL! They took my car in right away, knowing that we needed to make it to North Carolina that evening. They diagnosed the problem as a radiator that had split on the side, showed me the damaged radiator, and replaced the radiator within about an hour as I waited. (I had just had a mechanic in Baltimore look for a slow cooling system leak two days before leaving on the trip, and he had not found the problem with the side of the radiator, although the leak had been there for some time according to Wess.) The labor and parts prices at Staunton Motors were both very reasonable. Ramin and Wess were wonderful to work with! I would highly recommend this shop based on my excellent experience there.

Only problem was that dealer was 4 hours away. Called and spoke to Nathan at around 4:00pm. That's when the over the top exceptional customer service experience began. We had recently thought we found a vehicle only to arrive at dealer and find the car was sold. Expressed our concern that this might happen again. Nathan explained the VA Select Policy of not "holding" a car if someone came into lot and wanted to purchase. What he did do, was commit to letting us know upon closing that evening (via text), that the car was in fact still available and we could commit to driving there in the morning. But that wasn't good enough for Nathan. He also went the extra mile and took a picture of a scratch he noticed on the vehicle and sent us pictures. Said he would ask the body shop to buff it out first thing in the morning. We texted Nathan when we departed our house at 6:30am (they don't open until 9) and he was then able to remove it from the lot so no one could purchase since we were now enroute. Upon arriving to the location after 4-hour drive, the first thing we say at the entrance was a shiny, newly detailed Dodge Charger. My son was very excited and Nathan proceeded to give us a 30-minute certificate to do a test drive. This completely suprised us, as our experience had been drive around the block with saleperson hovering in back seat. Son was convinced it was the car after driving it for 5 minutes. Upon our return, Nathan offered us beverages and escorted us to his desk for the daunting "sign and make it yours experience". Not once did we feel pressure. No haggling was required (we knew this before we came), and Nathan patiently answered each and every question. Once the paperwork was complete and ready for us to go to the financing department, we all went outside and talked about the car some more. Nathan shared several personal stories with our family and we were happy that we had him as our salesperson. But it didn't stop there. Once Finanace was ready for us, Nathan took it upon himself to take the vehicle to the the nearby service station and top of the gas tank. Outstanding. The financing process was quick and painless as we had pre-approval for the loan. Robert Seeney (F & I Manager) took over from there and made sure all the paperwork was in order since we were from out of state. He was extremely professional and had the personality of someone who took the customer service experience seriously. Bottom line is that our experience with Virginia Select Auto was exceptionally pleasant and we would hope that everyone would get the opportunity to work with Nathan if in the market to purchase a car. We bought a 2008 gold Dodge Grand Caravan in 2016 from Champion Auto and the transmission was…read morediagnosed at Amaco, the paperwork turned into and read by Champion. We sold it back to them in 2017 and paid them for another vehicle a 2009 Subaru Forester. The transmission had a complete failure and required to be replaced not even rebuilt, less than 30 days later. The powertrain warranty left us still paying $1000.00 to replace it. During the time it took to diagnose I was unable to ever get a hold of Scott, who Donna insisted made all purchase and mechanical decisions, but was "at auction" or off any days and times we called or were there to speak with him as Donna could not make any decision about assisting us or the questions we had about how they would help with our second purchase from them with no way to drive it. Donna even went as far as to tell me they had been closed on a business day they agreed to call us back but having called from an unknown number that was revealed to be untrue as the gentlemen who answered gave us their hours of operation but repeated that Scott was unavailable. We currently have their loaner white 2003 Tahoe listed at $6,999 sitting in our driveway that also didn't run for us to use. We returned it mid need, my husband listed the issues he knew aside from it being very far out of oil change, low coolant light on, brake and head lights out, and a bad front passenger tire. After picking it back up after it had been to Merchants for...something We found the same issues aside from the headlight fixed and the service engine soon light was now on. Shortly after that we were unable to get it back to them and once notified it is still here because Scott is inevitably unavailable. I had a great experience with Chastity and recommend her but Donna and Scott gave us the run around for a very long 2 weeks now. We had prepared to spend more money to replace our other car with them but after having the Subaru be a loss not even 30 days into our purchase this has put our family of 5 in a very poor position. I felt swindled by them. They knew the circumstances and strain this has put on us but have a lack of duty to their customers. We have remained calm, however frustrated and do not plan to ever purchase from or recommend them again.

Right away, someone came out to help us. They weren't even going to charge us for the issue, and within 30 minutes he had it fixed! It turned out to be the bracket that holds our spare tire in place -- one part of the holder had broken, but he still managed to repair it quickly and get us safely back on the road.
