This was very frustrating because the delay was due to the long line and the way they handled the process, not because I was late. I feel like my time was not respected, and there was no effort to help or find a solution. I understand rules have to be followed, but the staff could have communicated the requirements more clearly and shown better customer service. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

The Post Office's updated look looks really nice. And there's parking available again. I can't…read morebelieve I'm geeking out. First, there's an area where you can drop off your letters and packages, a self-service area to buy stamps and to ship your own boxes, smart lockers to pick up your post office packages more easily, and more. The next area is the actual post office service area, where you stand in line. Now, the waiting room counter area is bigger. The line moves along the counter, so no longer do I have to kick packages forward (unless the package is huge - there's a joke in there somewhere), and I can place my packages on the counter and move them forward. I just had the easiest time shipping out all my holiday gifts because I placed them on the counter and moved them along easily. Thank you, counter! The service here is always professional, friendly, and fun. The line length usually sucks, but I understand that's not anyone's fault. But the workers here always seem to be in good spirits, so I can't be annoyed at the wait time for long when they are so friendly. The post office is WAY more space efficient, and the renovations - while lengthy - were totally worth the wait! The only suggestion I heard while waiting in line is for there to be music playing in the background. That would definitely perk my spirits up even more, but it may make it harder to talk to the cashier unless it is playing at a low volume. Just a suggestion, Oxnard USPS!
