My first visit to Drkula's was quite fun! A neighborhood establishment with entertainment. Bowling, darts, pool, food, video games, and drinks is what you'll discover at this quaint gem. My brother wanted to celebrate his birthday with bowling. We started our evening with darts. We played a few games while enjoying the complimentary popcorn. After darts, we proceeded to bowling. 10.00 per person with shoes included for 2 hours of bowling was a pretty good deal. The bowling alley was busy but we did not have to wait for a lane. The bowling alley is a bit dated but still enjoyable. The waitress in the bowling alley was very attentive and friendly. To snack on we had the deep fried pickles. These were quite delicious! I love the wings at Dracs and last night I ordered them and wanted them in a unique combination of sauce and dry rub, but didn't try to confuse the person taking my order and asked for the dry rub on the side. Well, the cook came out to the bar and asked about my order. I told him what I was looking for and I told him. He said "that is what I figured and no problem I can do that!" I'm reviewing the food at Drkula's. They offer a wide selection on fried foods that rare in the 'meh' category. We paired a few 'meh' selections (wings and mozzarella sticks) with poorly constructed burgers. Their premium canned mushroom and Swiss burger and their standard cheese burger with American cheese. Frozen patties... or fresh patties of inexpensive beef. On the upside, the drinks are affordable, the place is huge and it looks to be a great place to bowl. This is a bowling alley, not an entertainment center. Believe it or not, this matters. When I bowl, I want to be in a house that appreciates bowlers. Drkula's certainly does. They also have good prices, with the cheapest bowling from 9 to noon on Sundays. You can bowl each game for a buck. The lanes are in good condition, and customer service is great. I went to Drkula's bowl with my family and friends and there was nothing but smiles, good food, and great service. It was a good and well took care of bowling ally. It was an awesome environment and i'm not a big fan of bowling but this made me love it just a little bit more. I got the burger and it was delicious top 5 in my book. Went there to meet some friends for dinner. First time there, it was bingo night, busy, but not crowded. Ordered the namesake burger, Drkula burger and asked for med-rare, waitress said no problem. I asked for no bun cause it's a huge burger, and sauce on the side. About 20 minutes later they brought my burger, it was actually 2 burgers stacked and both very well done, with a huge bun and no sauce on the side. There was....no kidding...1/2 of a large raw onion, sliced and enough shredded lettuce for a salad, so it was dressed for a mess! These were obviously frozen burgers, pounded into a burger form and pressed hard enough together that they were formed into dense hockey pucks of meat!! Thrown on a grill and cooked until any possibility of juicieness was long gone. When you read the description on the menu, you'd think that if they're going to give you a big burger the problem would most likely be getting it cooked enough to serve, not cooking every drop of juice from a large burger. Well they managed to cook the shi+ out of that burger, and serve it dark brown through and through!! Waitress came back, asked about food and I said burger was very well done and when I asked for med-rare and she it would be no problem. She said, "I don't cook it, I just put the order in" and walked off to get my forgotten sauce. On her next pass thru she asked about the food again and I said burger was really dry and very well done and someone else at the table commented that it was really an overly done burger and she walked off again, not offering to get another burger, not asking if we wanted a manager, nothing! Someone at the table said that the bowling alley contracts out the restaurant cooking so it's not their fault. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!! We were there with some friends who go there all the time and I didn't want to make a scene, so we let it go, but it was my first time and my last time eating there. This place is a bowling alley with cheap drinks, volleyball outside, bingo and meat raffles inside so it is what it is. Not normally one to complain but I've had a few bad experiences with some of the bartenders here. I waited for about 10mins, wasn't acknowledged at all, my wife was with me and ended up having to ask for service only to be met with a nasty reply back, not really a good way to treat your customers. I can understand if it was busy but it was not. In short some of the bartenders are not approachable or friendly and it's not the first time it's happened. read more

Pub food review; we did not bowl. The 2 star rating exactly describes my feelings toward Drkula's. It was not the worst food I've ever had, but I've had better. I ordered the Rueben with chips. The Rueben arrived hot, and it was a substantial sandwich, but the corned beef was pretty bland. It was almost like store bought corned beef. The lanes are in good shape, and the price isn't too bad. The thing has a sort of "bolted-on" retrofitted feeling. Like the building was put in place in the 80's, the scoring computer is from the early 90's, and the ball return system is from the mid 2000's. The pub was actually pretty nice. Make sure not to complain, because the server, food runner and manager will all come out and make sure you know that you were in the wrong for daring to say anything. We ordered wings at 5:54pm. They arrived at 6:26. I didn't realize 6 buffalo wings took a half hour to deep fry. Then I touched three of them. They were not hot. I returned them, only to watch the food runner and waitress look in awe at the plate and then at me, as I clearly was in the wrong, and the food they guaranteed me, was hot. Dude - I waited 32 minutes for wings that weren't all the way hot, and then got soggy celery. And then told "Its a long walk from the kitchen..." "it's common for the wing tips to cool down faster..." "are THOSE better now?" Jesus. I would've choked down the cold ones if I knew that I would be made to be such an enemy. read more

I go for the beer and the pool. Always friendly staff and friendly patrons. Moved here 9/16 and moving away 10/17 but I love this place and recommend it for a chill pub to just sit and chill. Only food I ordered was not as described (more like chicken flautas) but was effin delicious if not a bit pricey, but came nice and hot, timely, and with plenty of salsa and sour cream. I go here for work every other week- the guy at the front desk is so so so nice. He always is patient and answers questions, gives discounts, etc. I have only been here during the day, so I am not sure about evening bowling. If you want any food or drink from the bar, the bartenders will ignore you, which is probably a good thing, because the food is not very good. I had the jerk chicken sandwich which was slightly spicy but overall bland, with a tasteless tomato and shredded lettuce. Mediocre slaw (from a big jar, probably). My friends split the nacho grande, which were super greasy and gave one of them an upset stomach. I don't even want to give this place a star! The food is horrible and the service stinks. I had a Living Social coupon for bowling that had expired but the paid value is still good for services. The manager, dink!, said it could only be used toward bowling and not our meal. Of course that is not correct but after a long day I did not feel like fighting with this obvious moron. Fun moonlight bowling.... service can be slow and kitchen gets backed up easily while there is leagues. They have a great out door patio in the summer and some of the best volleyball leagues on this side of town. NO, just no.... The staff are friendly, the bowling is ok and the drinks aren't spendy...however don't eat here...just save yourself an 1.5 hours of waiting. I live in the neighborhood and have been many times to meet friends for drinks. I groan inwardly when people suggest even getting an appetizer. Slowest food service EVER...the wait staff know this and avoid your table. I think they must have one cook for a humongous dining room, bowling alley and outdoor patio/volleyball area. We come to bowl generally and not to eat -- but other than long wait times for food, the service has always been fine. Drkula's is also a strong community supporter -- supporting. I love Drkula's! I've been playing volleyball there for over 15 years. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are always cold! The food is mostly great - a few items not so much. The staff treats their regulars like family. And they treat everyone like regulars ;-) I've bowled there a few times over the years too and really enjoyed my experience with that as well. read more

The food is good but a bit on the pricey side for bar food. If you are in a hurry during peek hours the wait time can be long, but at least they let you know that right away when ordering. The employees are great, except one bartender somewhat ignores you if you if you are not a regular of hers. I will be back - heck, I might just become one of the regulars that get top-notch treatment. read more
