We saw what looked like the most delicious pastry we had ever seen in the window, went inside, ordered it and proceeded to devour the absolute best pastry on this Earth. Sound like a hyberbole? It's not. In the 3 days we were in Florence, we ate this pastry 3 times. By our 3rd time in, the nice women who worked there let us know when they closed in case we would be back. We would have been, but our train to Venice was on a Sunday and they sadly are closed that day. We can't remember what the pastry was called but we took a picture of it. They have a wide variety of baked good including sandwiches with their fresh baked bread. We were looking for an afternoon snack so had our eye on the Schiaciatine, which are mini bread things that had toppings on them. We got a bag full for around 7 euro. What a deal! We got some with olives, sausage, tomato sauce, pesto, and artichoke on them. They were good, but the crust was not as soft as I would have liked. It was a little bland for me as I like a little boldness and spice. that said, it filled us up and got us through the next part of the day sight seeing.
