    Menu changes daily!

Nom nom. The food here is wonderfully fresh and tasty, and Maria is a delight. I ordered the slow cooked brisket sandwich for my hub, and it came on a torts bun (like ciabatta bread) with chips drizzled with a yummy sauce. I tried the spicy shrimp tacos, and the shrimp was so fresh and plump and had a nice but not too spicy kick. Have been here in the past and tried the feijoada and samosas, and she also makes empanadas. I recommend that when you don't know what you're hungry for, just stop in here and check the menu. I'm sure you'll find something you'll love, along with the friendliest service.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The food here is DELICIOUS! I've tried the Cuban, empanadas, and the Shrimp Tacos (on separate visits of course) - all were incredibly fresh and delicious. Maria is so friendly and throws down in the kitchen!! Great, personable customer service makes each visit amazing. I think the menu changes sometimes but I'm sure whatever you order will be tasty! I plan on trying the Goan burger next!

    Goan Veggie Club Sandwich Delicious!!

We went for late lunch after the rush. Maria came out to greet me and my parents. Mom had the Cuban sandwich, dad had the chicken enchilada, and I had the Goan veggie club sandwich with the veggie soup. The Cuban had lean cuts of meat. It was very good. The chicken enchilada was better than expected. It had a bit of spice, but it is not overpowering. The Goan veggie sandwich and soup were delicious. It has a refreshing flavor and filled with cucumber, potato, a few onions.

In the back of the family-owned neighborhood store. Maria is AMAZING! Hands down the best shrimp tacos we've ever had. Carnitas tacos fantastic too! I also had to try the pumpkin spice cheesecake blondie that was very good as well. Definitely worth a drop in.

Marie makes awesome food! Brazilian feijoada (black beans and sausage over rice), spicy shrimp tacos, Cuban sandwich, chicken enchiladas, curry - it's all great. Don't be put off by the outward appearance of the store, the food is too good to miss. Get there at 11:00 AM and beat the "crowd" (it's too small to hold a crowd - lol)

Spicy shrimp tacos and beef nachos!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet mamma jamma. This place is amazing. I went in around 3:45 pm so it was quiet and my food was ready quickly. The food area is pretty nondescript but everything appeared to be clean. Maria met me at the counter and explained the menu. I called my wife and we settled on the beef nachos and the spicy shrimp tacos and we were so impressed with both. My wife, who considers herself to be somewhat of an officiaNACHO, says these are the best nachos she has had since we moved to Greenville in August. Maria informed me that everything was handmade and the shrimp were brought in from Charleston and never frozen. We will be back for sure....maybe tomorrow!!

Everything you've heard is true. Don't sleep on Maria Gomes' neighborhood bodega! Got the Cuban and some of her Spicy Shrimp Tacos. Both were perfect in about every way. I'll be back. A lot.

One of the specials today- a curry dish over rice w/shrimp potatoes. Maria adds a Portuguese flair into her Indian home cooking.

Only the locals know about this hidden gem. Maria is a fabulous cook and will make sure you are very happy with your meal...you'll be coming back again. There are new specials daily, but usually I just ask her what's good. She will whip you up some of the best Indian/Portuguese home cooking that you will have!!! Make sure you get a samosa too! She will know your name by your third time coming back!

Fresh, delectable, home-made, Portuguese/Cuban/Indian food. Maria is an brilliant cook and an engaging conversationalist. You'll never get bored with her company and she'll make sure you're fully satisfied with your meal... Her chicken soup and spicy shrimp tacos made my day!

After having visited Spain and experiencing tapas, our expectations were set high and Cúrate delivered on all levels. We ordered several plates to share, ordered a bubbly white wine and later a pitcher of Sangria and enjoyed the thoughtfulness of their progression of our meal. Every dish was thoughtful and tasty. The patatas bravas were better than some we had in Spain. The lamb skewers were the least favorite as they were slightly overcooked. I missed taking a picture of the mussels because we slopped that up so fast! Overall, I cannot wait to visit again, especially as they change their menu seasonally so new surprises would be amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The wait was only about 25 minutes, which wasn't too bad. However, we were not aware we were going to be seated at the bar and were not given the option to wait for a table instead. For this type of establishment, you'd also expect warmer and friendlier service. Again, we sat at the bar, which may not have been the best choice, but the service there was inconsistent and at times lacking. You don't pay any less sitting at the bar, so it was definitely disappointing. That said, the food itself was great. We ordered the lamb skewers and the patatas bravas, and both were absolutely delicious. My husband also ordered a coffee and the flan, and the flan was very good as well. The prices are definitely high, but the food quality was solid enough that I could understand the cost. However, part of what makes a higher price point worthwhile is receiving excellent service as part of the overall experience, and unfortunately that just wasn't the case here.

We were immediately seated an enjoyed cocktails -- I had their version of a margarita. It was smokey but not overpowering. My friend enjoyed the sangria. We split the potatoes, cheese board and the gluten free chicken shawarma pizzette. The potatoes were the best and I really liked the cheeseboard too. The jam made the cheese flavors pop! For our entree we split the short rib which was perfect since it normally comes with two pieces. It was so flavorful and delicious. We didn't sty for dessert since we had a GymDawgs meet to get to and they seemingly didn't have a chocolate option. Great service. Great food and great drinks.

It took me a while to get a drink. Started with some tapas, the mushrooms, the potato's and the dates. The mushrooms were good but over battered. Could even tell you were eating mushrooms. The potatoes were not fully soft and lacked salt and flavor. The tomato spread on top also lacked flavor. The dates and manchengo cheese was just werid in presentation and hard to eat. We had to order bread, not something I'm used to especially with the tapas. Ordered the branzino for 2. Others ordered the steak and pork chops. The steak came out cold and the pork chop was overcooked. The branzino was nice, but the sides were cold. One of our party ordered another beer which he did not get until I summoned the manger over. My husband and I came in around 7:45 on Saturday night, with our munchkins and greeted warmly and taken to a table right away. Our server asked if we had ever been to a Brazilian steak house because the concept was the same. There are two menus, one with all the apps and everything the other with salad and all the pizzas. They bring the appetizers to you and then bring pizza around. We chose the first one to try the wings, salad, bread and, meatballs. I have to say they were all amazing. No complaints. The wings were crispy and well sauced. We did the teriyaki and the lemon pepper and those were some of the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. Juicy, crunchy and, delicious. The salad was crispy and fresh. The meatballs had great flavor and the sauce was perfect for taking the bread and dunking and wiping your plate clean with it. The bread itself was crunchy and light at the same time. So so good. They brought around all different types of pizza. All fresh, all hot and from what I experienced delicious. I tried their margarita, the Hawaiian, pepperoni, calabresa and, stroganoff. Every single one was different but extremely good. The crush was lightly charred and yet still chewy and soft. Their dessert pizzas are amazing. My husband and I tried their brigadeiro, banoffee and, Nutella com Morgano. So, basically chocolate, upon chocolate with sprinkles, dulce du leche with bananas whipped cream and cinnamon and, Nutella and strawberries. I was I heaven. So good and just awesome. Personal favorite was the banoffee with the bananas and whipped cream. Pizza Rio takes the pizza buffet up not one notch but so many. It takes the idea of the pizza buffet that we know and elevates it to a different and almost glamorous level. You don't leave your seat. The pizza and sides are brought hot and delicious to you. It's taken the pizza buffet that we are used to and elevated it. It's a great place for a date or to impress family and friends with a fun and different place to eat with really good food.
