The lovely staff laid out many many rugs for us to look at, and even provided snacks. We spent about an hour looking at the rugs and being educated, even seeing some of the rugs that were used as well hangings and also rugs that were being repaired. There are beautiful things in here! If you are in the market for something authentic, handmade and even possibly a dying art, this is your rug stop in Lisbon.

The shipping company had done a terrible packing job and was crushed in the shipping container. The shipping company then offered a small fraction of the total amount in refund. Vintage-Department took no responsibility. I would never order anything from them that need to be shipped anywhere.
