The Salon is spacious, tastefully decorated and well equiped. The staff are very friendly and you are always greeted with a warm smile (and the offer of a coffee). All the staff are extrememly knowledgable and professional and only too happy to advise or answer queries. Imarni specialises in a wide range of services, these inlcude: Facial and body therapies, Ionithermie, Manicure and Pedicures, Eye treatments, Hair Removal (waxing, electrolysis etc), Tooth Whitening, Spray Tanning and Professional Make-up. They use, amongst others, Environ, Phytomer and Jane Iredale products. (Jane Iredale make-up is the best Ive come across for sensitive skin) I now go reqularly and have my legs waxed but have also had my nails done and even had a spray tan once. If your looking for a great place to be pampered at a reasonable price in Edinburgh then this is it.

The well groomed receptionist and beauticians weren't as aloof as those in other salon despite and my waxer chatted to me all the way through as though we were old friends. The treatment itself was fantastic as the woman explained they use hot wax that they rip off rather than using cloth strips. This makes for a cleaner, easier and (marginally) less painful wax that lasted longer than others I have had. This is a more expensive place than I would usually go but worth it as it was a top quality job. They do give a student discount but I would say this is a place for the people of Edinburgh who have more disposable income than the average student. My plan is to ask for Zen gift vouchers at Christmas and head back for the pomegranate facial!

It is a bit more expensive than what i usually pay but the service of the receptionist, the beauticians doing the treatment are of such high standard. I now use their products on my face and it is a big difference on my skin. They do block bookings which can save you a bit of money in the long run, student discount and vouchers to purchase. Now, Novella does a whole heap of other beauty treatments: nails, waxing, threading, facials, the whole gammit as well as cosmetic tattooing- which is what I was here for. Booking was really easy, can either be done by phone or on their website and I was quickly booked in for a consult with Lorraine. If you're interested in any type of cosmetic tattooing, I highly recommend this place. The little room out the back is kept immaculately clean and during my consult Lorraine explained the whole process from start to finish, putting me at ease with her professionalism and knowledge. Three weeks later, I was booked in for my cosmetic tattoo. I'm not gonna lie, it was painful to start but the whole process was over in about an hour (Lorraine allows two hours for design and to answer any questions at the start). I have to say I'm surprised with the results (a LOT darker than I expected, but apparently this fades by about 50℅ over the week so I won't have angry eyebrows forever). Overall thrilled with the service I received and cannot reccomend Lorraine at Novella for cosmetic tattooing enough.

My boyfriend and I went in here looking for Christmas presents and we were both more interested in eating the products than actually bathing in them. I guess you have to be one of those girls who spends her Sunday nights in a bath with copious amounts of bath products, surrounded by candles while listening to Celine Dion and crying about singledom, to enjoy Lush. I would much prefer a bottle of Radox. Plus I have heard that these bath bombs can be quite uncomfortable if they get in certain places.

It's a really personal salon and it's not big and loud. It also offers lots of complementary therapies that you can have after you've had your hair done and a cup of tea! I love having my hair done in such a unique surrounding. It's right next to the meadows so ideal for students or dropping by after work. Highly recommended!
