So.. I have been a "BarFly," since 2020. From West Coast to East coast. We finally got Palm beach county A few dry bars. This DB is 5 mins from my house. My amazing Estiania has me coming back weekly. They have new front desk Staff & An Amazing new Manager, Joycelyn. I pray I spelt both their names correctly. My hair is very long crazy thick & it takes me a good 30 mins to dry @ home w a Dyson. I have no idea how she works her magic but, Every time estiania does it, From wash to dry & style: maybe 50 mins. It always looks great & she's amazing @ braids. Love love love her. she is a Gem! EMPLOYEES & CLIENTS -- PLEASE READ BEFORE WORKING HERE OR BOOKING HERE. After working at Drybar West Palm Beach for almost THREE YEARS, I can confidently say I would NEVER recommend working for this location under owner Whitney Salazar. I also believe clients deserve to know what has been happening behind the scenes. When I was hired, I was promised $12/hour, a raise after one year, PLUS commission on extensions, add-on services, memberships, etc. Nearly three years later, I have NEVER received that promised raise. Even worse, multiple employees -- myself included -- have repeatedly found MISSING COMMISSIONS AND/OR HOURS on our paychecks. This was not something that happened once. We noticed discrepancies over a period of MONTHS. And somehow, despite working MORE hours, taking on MORE responsibilities, and helping this salon through some of its busiest periods, I began making LESS money. But the paycheck issues are only part of the problem. During my time here, I personally witnessed multiple stylists working who were not licensed cosmetologists. Experienced senior stylists were then expected to help train them, correct services, and deal with angry clients when services did not meet expectations. There were days when clients were so unhappy that they refused to leave until their hair was corrected. Who had to step away from their own paying clients to fix it? THE EXPERIENCED STYLISTS. That meant our own appointments were pushed 15-20+ minutes behind, and then WE were left dealing with frustrated clients because the salon was running late. The salon was also CONSTANTLY overbooked while we were not being provided with the basic tools and products necessary to actually do our jobs. At one point, we went an extended period with extremely limited essential salon products and supplies. Imagine being expected to provide professional blowouts without consistently having the shampoo, styling products, and tools you need -- while clients understandably expect the service they PAID FOR. Our manager repeatedly tried to get supplies ordered. Meanwhile, stylists were literally LEAVING THE SALON WHILE ON SHIFT TO PURCHASE PRODUCTS WITH THEIR OWN MONEY just so we could properly service clients. And when clients were unhappy because we didn't have what we needed? THE STYLISTS TOOK THE BLAME. Our tips suffered. Our schedules suffered. Our income suffered. And somehow the people working the hardest were expected to continue smiling and carrying the salon. What makes this even more disappointing is that West Palm Beach became incredibly busy under newer management. Our manager worked hard to build community relationships and bring traffic into the salon, and many of us senior stylists worked overtime, stayed beyond our scheduled shifts, trained others, fixed services, helped keep clients happy, and did FAR beyond what should have been expected of us. We did it because we cared about our manager, our clients, our coworkers, and the reputation of the salon. But eventually, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. You cannot expect loyalty from employees while failing to properly compensate them. You cannot promise raises and commissions and then have employees repeatedly questioning where their money is. You cannot overbook a salon, fail to consistently provide the products and tools needed to perform services, and then leave your stylists to absorb the backlash from unhappy clients. And you absolutely should not put experienced professionals in the position of constantly cleaning up problems that could have been prevented with proper hiring, staffing, training, and management from ownership. Some of us gave YEARS to this salon. We trained people. We stayed late. We worked extra shifts. We dealt with angry clients. We bought supplies ourselves. We pushed through being overbooked. We worked without the resources we needed. We watched our income decrease while our workload increased. WE ARE TIRED. I am speaking solely from MY experience and what I personally witnessed during my employment. After almost three years, I have completely lost trust in the ownership of this location. So, to anyone considering employment here: ASK QUESTIONS. Get your promised pay, commissions, raises, and responsibilities IN WRITING. CHECK EVERY PAYCHECK. TRACK EVERY HOUR. TRACK EVERY SERVICE, MEMBERSHIP, EXTENSION, AND ADD-ON YOU SELL. And to clients: if you've ever wondered why your stylist was running behind, seemed overwhelmed, didn't have a particular product available, or had to stop what they were doing to fix someone else's service -- please understand that there may have been MUCH more happening behind the scenes than you realized. The talented, hardworking stylists at this location deserved better. After everything I personally experienced, I cannot recommend working under this ownership. read more

Great Dry Bar location where they answer the phone and accommodate you! Had a great blowout here in preparation for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Easy parking in back or on the street right in front of the shop. Highly recommend. read more

This is my go-to place for a wash and blow out. I come nearly weekly because it's such a great deal and the ladies always do a super job.

I scheduled six blowout appointments (for a special event)--four at 8:45 and two at 9:30. We received a call at 8:50 asking for our ETA, and four of us arrived at 8:55, 10 minutes late, which I understand can impact scheduling. When we arrived, the only option offered was dry styling. I then asked if the two 9:30 appointments could be canceled and that time used to accommodate us instead, which was strongly declined. I then asked if they could simply wash our hair with no blow dry or styling, and that was also declined. Throughout this interaction, there were multiple staff members behind the register going back and forth over what should have been a simple solution. The tone and attitude felt rude and dismissive. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable keeping the 9:30 appointments and did not want to proceed with any services. This resulted in six cancellations, which felt unnecessary and avoidable. While I understand the importance of being on time, flexibility and professionalism were completely lacking. read more

I've been wanting to try this place out and since I was in the area, I figured why not! I want to first give a shoutout to the manager: Joycelyn. It's rare you see the manager let alone have them come to you and make sure your experience is satisfactory. That was definitely appreciated. The service was great and my hair came out amazing! Be sure to ask for Jamonica or Jalea when you go. Definitely making this my go to spot when I'm in the city and need to get dolled up! read more

I requested a cosomotini. I have been to this dry bar several times in the past. I had a shampoo of approximately 1 minute, followed by another shampoo of one minute. The conditioners were a bit longer. I asked the lady who was doing my hair, why I did not get a proper shampoo, she said that the rule is that they can only have a client in the shampoo chair for 3 to 5 minutes! I said that was absolutely ridiculous. I go there to have a proper shampoo, head massage, and to get my roots really clean! I was told they have to get the client out of the chair within 45 minutes, totaI! I also told this to the front desk lady, who said they are getting ready for the "snowbird's" to come down. BE WARE!! Definitely not going back with attitudes like that towards clients!!! read more

OK, I wanna be honest. The place was absolutely cute and just a straight up dry bar nothing else. we had Destinee, Yesi, and Bella & they were so nice. I am so happy that we got them, but I want to give our completely honest review on three different people that got their hair done here. (Trey) used Yesi and he loved her massaging of the scalp and her blow dry of his hair. He had zero complaints, it's what we exactly expected. CJ used Brielle and he just had a wash and wet curl style so his hair is still drying. She did finger curls. They look great I had Destinee . Her personality was awesome -I voiced to her and everyone there that the absolute best part of all of this is the deep scalp massage which should feel amazing ! but i was very disappointed and I'm not confrontational so I'm sorry I didn't say anything, but there was zero scalp Massage at all ...like didn't even get the base of my neck and I was expecting a full-blown massage how I usually get it at blow dry salon and then when she was blow drying my hair .. the brush bristles were snagging my hair and it hurt every single time she ran that brushed through my hair and I was pulling in making a saying "ouch" but it was loud, In don't think sh couldn't have known it and I do apologize. I probably should've said something but when you look at those bristles and they are so crossed against each other like you have to know to get rid of that brush. Everyone there was super sweet. We really liked everyone. I just wish they could've thrown that brush away and done actual scalp massages I mean, what else are we paying for? Lol that's the best part! Stylists are great but they charged me $15 just to use one of their products and when I complained to the manager she just said it was an add-on treatment. I was never told that product was considered an add-on nor that there would bean extra charge. The manager didn't offer a refund, just said she "talk to the stylist for the future" I paid a total of $74 (before tip) for a blowout that will last until my next shower. Outrageous. read more

The staff was nice, the girl who did my blowout didn't have a mirror in front of us so I could watch her. She asked where I normally part my hair so I showed her a picture of my hair after I dried it myself. I'm not able to do it right now, as I'm recovering from surgery and I'm one-armed at the moment. Shame on me for assuming she would use my photo as an example. She didn't & basically just dried my hair & laid it flat on my head. No big round brush, no soft waves like I showed her in my picture from using my big round brush. Nothing but flat hair. Again shame on me for just assuming. When I got home and saw what she had done, I promptly canceled my next appointment. I wouldn't go back again. Leading up to my surgery, my husband practiced washing and blow drying my hair and he's been doing ok. I was hoping for a better experience with a professional, I didn't get one. Avoid Tatiana at all cost!!!!! It is a guarantee you will leave the salon uncomfortable and stressed. Then you will go home and redo your entire blow dry because she doesn't care. Really negative and the only phrase she responds with is "I don't know." I understand people have bad days but there is no excuse for being rude to customer. I was there to feel good and relax. I have VERY thick hair that takes me hours to do at home. So when I saw this new WPB location open, I was so excited to finally have a location closer to my home! Finally, a place I could go to that guaranteed my hair would look amazing before an important event, night out or just for the work week! A beautiful, convenient location, uplifting environment and best of all, I was in and out in an hour and received SO MANY compliments with a blowout that lasted the entire week!
