Great home cooking. Had a "small" salad that was more than enough. Everything looked great.

Called in to pick up and bring home to eat. $38.50. Bacon cheeseburger half raw. Did not eat. Ordered tator tots. Got flimsy sort of cooked french fries. Did not eat. Was told about switch when picked up and paid for. Ckicken fried steak. Soup which we didnt get. Was offered extra slice pie . Had already ordered 2 slices pie. Did not eat any pies. Tried one and it tasted like it sat out all day. Called and told them I want a refund. Unable to drive and my daughter refuses to go back for any reason. Was esting there about once a week. Will not eat there any more. Will go to willies on 64. read more

Be advised it is now the Airedale Diner. They changed the name in 2021. Great food. Huge portions and very professional friendly staff. Great environment. Get here early enough you'll see some small groups of old friends getting together for remembering the good ole days. Great stop on your route if you're traveling. Breakfast all day. read more

I have been very surprised here and I have been disappointed as well. The food here is like going to a Sunday potluck at church; you never know what you'll get. My wife enjoys the buffet but I really disliked it. The thing to remember is that if you are on a diet,. this is not a place for you. Most of the menu is pretty greasy. I like their omelets and the bourbon burger. The kids, however, love this place. If you like "downhome cookin'" then you'll probably like this spot. I took my wife, son and three grandchildren to eat there on a Sunday afternoon. My wife and I ate the buffet, my son had three chicken strips (no sides), and each of the grandchildren had a children's burger meal. The total bill came to almost $60.00. I guess we were a little late for the lunch rush because there was only a few people eating when we arrived. Plus the buffet looks like it had been well picked over. Speaking of the buffet, most of the food seemed lower quality as if it came straight out of a can. It wasn't nasty but it sure wasn't gourmet either. Let's talk about the kid's meals. A small burger, fries, and Kraft Mac & Cheese. Nothing to write home about. OK, we have bland burgers, chicken strips that look like they came from a gas station, and two buffets that don't inspire loyalty as a customer. When I pulled up, I had lowered my expectations, but upon entering the place, it is very clean! Food was excellent had breakfast omelette and a slice of blueberry cheesecake pie, it was very very good! service was excellent. Best place in Alma during my 4 day stay in town. read more

Normally we go to Cracker Barrel when in Alma, but wanted to try something different. We stopped in for lunch and I was very happily surprised. The place was very clean, and the staff professional and nice. The food blows away cracker barrel by a long shot. Definitely going back here next time I'm in town! read more

I arrived around 8:39am. I am a third shifter and wanted a beacon cheese burger. I was told that the did serve burgers in the morning. I was seated on for a minute before I was asked for my drink order. I gave it and said I knew way I wanted. The waiter took the order and a got my drink quickly. I only waited a few more minutes before my burger and fires came out. Burger and fires were pleasantly hot and delicious. I completely recommend this restaurant. read more

After seeing commercials for this place we decided to take the drive for the seafood buffet. Honestly was looking around for cousin Eddie from the Las Vegas vacation buffet scene. This hands down is one of the worst dining experiences ever. No attempt at seafood on buffet. Fried shrimp with batter that was UN-cooked, some other sort of shrimp casserole, and of course your instant potatoes and gravy? But keep in mind for $4.00 more you could get frog legs, scallops and pond shrimp. what a joke! no waitress service for taking your plates away. dessert consisted of UN cooked peach cobbler and a ice cream machine that didn't work. don't waste your gas or money going here read more

Loved this place! All homemade food on the buffet and such a variety! There was chicken, fried catfish, and dry ribs for the meat, lots of different vegetables and lots of salads. There were 3 homemade soups and homemade rolls and corn bread. The bread pudding and cherry cobbler were great! Great service and great surroundings! read more

Funky old, non descript building on the outside. Walk through the front door into the magic of your Mom's cooking. We had the buffet dinner. Everything was delish! Staff were welcoming & efficient. Next day, Weekday Morning 7:30 am brought three full rows of vehicles. Looks like one of those "best kept secrets in town", type of eating place. We all remember and love or loved, mamas meals. Went for the breakfast buffet yesterday. The eggs tasted like raw bologna. The bacon was some of the best I've had on a buffet. The pancakes were ok. I'm not a huge fan. My husband and I eat here regularly because he thinks he has to have buffet. I usually order something off of the menu because I'm usually not too impressed with the buffet. We ate here last night and I decided to go with the buffet, wrong decision. It was lukewarm at best. I hate to get cold food that is supposed to be hot. Our first..and LAST visit to this place! About the only thing good I can say is my coke was good and the service wasn't bad. The food, we had the "seafood" buffet. There was only about a half cup of clam strips and those were stone cold, so I passed. The fried calamari was so overcooked they were pretty much inedible. The fish wasn't bad, but it was also cold. My husband ended up eating salad because he wasn't keen on more cold fish. To top it off, we sat and watched one wait person pick up unopened straws off a table and put them back into her stash of straws. If something is ON the table it is trash when the customer leaves!!! At least we did have a $5 coupon, but what we ate wasn't near worth what we were charged. Never again. I cannot imagine why anyone would give this place more than two stars!! KD read more
