Thank you both! I took CPR, AED & First Aid for professional certification. They were informative classes that provided hands-on training using manikins which light up to indicate proper positioning of hands. Materials were also provided for study reviews and knowledge tests. It's best to get the trio package cuz it discounts the cost for the First Aid portion. All three will take up about 4 hours of your time. These live courses are approved by American Heart Association and you get a printable certification issued with a validated number. If you had thought of taking these lifesaving courses, but somehow never did, please go! Temple CPR offers free community courses every 1st Wednesday monthly. If you don't require a certification, but want to learn, sign up to reserve a seat and learn how to save a life.

I enrolled my child at Hill Country Arts Academy. I informed the school we had recently moved from…read moreoverseas and that she may be behind in math due to curriculum differences, and requested to be notified if she was struggling academically. The school issued report cards showing all "A" grades in all subjects, including math, despite knowing she had been behind in math upon enrollment and not informing me of any concerns or deficiencies. I raised concerns in person about whether skills such as fractions were being taught and assessed, but was not provided clear work samples or grading criteria, and was treated poorly for asking. I independently assessed my child using grade-level math tests, a MAP assessment, and a Mathnasium evaluation, all of which indicated she was performing below grade level. I requested clarification on grading. The school did not clearly respond until repeated follow-up and stated the grade reflected grade-level placement rather than mastery. I did not receive clear documentation and my concerns were not addressed and I was ignored.

I needed a 110 GT score to put in my Warrant Officer packet. My weakest point was math. I decided I should try tutoring. I found out about Mathnasium through Google searching. Thank goodness for reviews. I was nervous because I am an adult seeking tutoring. Luckily, Mr. JC was so welcoming from jump. Mr. Rodgers was great at explaining the program. Then, it was a breeze from there. I started my tutoring in January, but being in the military, Mathnasium worked with around me being in the field. A month and some change of tutoring from amazing tutors from all walks of life. I tested March 3rd and I increased my GT to 113! This place worked wonders! I absolutely recommend it! Do NOT let being an adult stop you from achieving your goals. This place helped me achieve mine. Thank you so much! We are always imprEssed being on campus with how nice everyyome is. UMHB is unapologetically Christian and provides a welcoming enviroment to everyone. We will continue to attend games and watch the World Champions Crusaders next season. My family has attended baseball games and seen presentations by amazing speakers. Presenters include President George HW Bush, Chuck Norris, Mary Lou Retton and Robert Gates. We are fortunate to have this institution in Central Texas as it celebrates its 175th anniversary.

My friend and I took a pottery class on May 6th. They told…read morethey would call when we could come to paint our pieces. I ended up calling them in June. We painted our pieces and were told they would call when we could pick up our pieces. On August 6th they sent an text that our pieces were ready. On August 7th today we picked up. 2 of our pieces were not given instead 2 pieces that weren't ours was given to us. After this drawn out situation they had the nerve to send a text that said if the pieces weren't picked up in a week they would be donated. Initially we had planned to take other classes however we have decided not to do that. Neither of us was impressed with the organizational skills.
