Today, July 18, they reopened with an all new look, layout and feel, including an adorable sitting area mid store with couches and a trifold mirror with a runway painted on the floor leading up to it, and shoe positions indicated for you to pose for yourself - so precious! The selection, if possible, got even bigger. Accessories are a reduced presence in the back, but still cute things. Casual and loungewear are making a presence, also in the back, with the most buttery soft apparel you can imagine sliding over your body. The Clearance section GOT BIGGER! Yes, Queen, bigger, meaning more chances for shoe discounts and steals! New thing added: Imbox shoe protectant spray machine with digital window where you can watch your precious new babies get spray protected from scuff, dirt, dust, and water stains! Hallelujah! Truth be told I like shopping at DSW better online than in the store. Normally the only time I come to the store is to return something OR to try on shoes I found online. This time I came here because my sister had to return something, so I was able to just look around while I was there. The store is so organized, with rows upon rows of shoes. Honestly, if you can't find something here, I'd be surprised. I also ran into their bathroom while I was there and it was clean and well appointed. The only thing I wish they had were paper towels versus a hand dryer. I will say that DSW has some great perks if you become a VIP member (it's free to sign up), where you'll receive exclusive coupons like $20 off of $50, $5 off on your birthday, etc. Parking here can be a bit problematic around the lunch and dinner crowd. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE- TOTAL ATTITUDE- Now I remember why I stopped coming to this store. I found a pair of boots online knowing if they didn't work out I could only avoid a return fee by returning them at this store. Sure enough the boots were too tight when I put on a pair of socks. Never wore them out of the house or longer than 2 minutes to walk around the house. Having just finished the return, am literally sitting in my car in the parking lot totally frustrated with what just happened. Young lady, long red hair, opened the box, looked at the boots, then gave me this disgusted look. I said this is exactly how I got the boots, no tissue paper and they've never been worn. She then walked away with one of the boots and crouched below the counter at the other end of where I was standing. When she came back I gave her the order number and asked was there something wrong - she just stared at me. So I said "just curious why you took the one boot down there". She stared at me, rolled her eyes, and let out a loud sigh "I cleaned the dirt off". And then she shook her head as if I was not only an inconvenience to her but a total idiot. I haven't been to DSW in quite a while, received a wonderful coupon in the mail, and thought... OK let's go get some new shoes. I went in today and was beyond disgusted, literal trash on the floor in almost every single aisle. Tissue paper strewn about, dirt on the floor, shoes randomly in the middle of the aisles. It looks like somebody had a fantastic party, throwing crap around and chose not to clean up before the customers arrived. Mind you I arrived 45 minutes after the store opened. I went to this DSW location for the first time looking for silver shoes for a wedding. Wow! This place was so big it was overwhelming LOL. I purposefully stayed away from this place because I love shoes and they have thousands of them. I stayed on course and didn't look at any shoes that were not silver LOL. I found the shoes I wanted after about 20 minutes of shopping. But I had to look at all the shoes in the store before I made my purchase. I purchased shoe cushions for the balls of my feet as the platform heels were higher than I usually wear. I ended up purchasing a pair of Guess platform sandles for $80. This was more than I usually spend on shoes but I knew I would wear them for several years. My biggest disappointment was check out. I was in line for nearly 10 minutes as there was only one cashier and she was stuck with a difficult customer. Finally someone came to the rescue. My cashier was friendly and helped me find the shoe cushions. The shoes looked great with my dress and were comfortable thanks to the shoe cushions I purchased! Any bargain hunting shopper looking for great deals on clearance marked down shoes would have a field day here at DSW...admittedly, I went through a crazy shoe collection phase and DSW helped fuel that "fix!" It's certainly about timing, supply and demand here at DSW. First off, I only shop the clearance section so I'm blind to the main floor items (most of the time). Second, clearance items are typically discontinued last years models or off season items. Third, only select sizes available. I'm good with all of that and it's "game on" for that treasure hunt to find that "deal!" I first started out my "shoe" treasure hunt for clearance running shoes - mind you, I really "dislike" paying MSRP for running shoes especially since I have amassed a collection of shoes for daily runs. I am thrilled when I find that $20-30 running shoe deal! I've even found great office shoes, slip on loafers and even slip on half boots deals on clearance. Throughout my clearance shoe shopping journey, two things really stand out: the customer service has been consistently good and I really really miss DSWs Policy where they would price match any clearance items price if that item was available on DSW online AND ship it to customers for FREE! I haven't trekked to DSW lately...perhaps it's that time again! read more

I absolutely love DSW and I'm a huge fan of this particular store. As someone else mentioned, this is not your bargain shoe store. It's not like Rack Room Shoes where you're going to get "buy one get one half off" and it most certainly is nothing like Payless. Here you find good, quality shoes which if you invest in and take care of they will last you for years. I compare the quality/price of shoes at DSW to that you would find when shopping for shoes at Dillards. They keep in stock many varieties of shoes and I could literally spend hours in here looking around and trying on shoe after shoe after shoe! The store is really quite large. The store is kept clean and it is very well organized. When you find a shoe you like on display, it's always easy to find the box for the shoe in your size. It can be difficult to find assistance in the store, especially if they are busy. But do take the time to wander around for a minute to find an associate because once you have one, he or she will be able to answer all of your questions with a smile and they will even help you find a particular shoe if you have something in mind for a certain outfit, etc. Towards the back of the store, they have a clearance section. Make sure not to miss that; it's always worth a looksee. :) The last pair of shoes I purchased here I got in an 8 1/2 even though I wear an 8, but they didn't have an 8 in stock. I thought the 8 1/2s would be fine, so I purchased them anyway. Once I got home and wore them around the house a little bit, I realized they weren't going to work. The next day, I went back to the store expecting to get a refund (which they were more than willing to give me), however, they looked online for me and found the shoe in my size and had it shipped to my home for free. It only took a couple of days to arrive and I was thrilled! I really do have to say the employees here go above and beyond. I was looking for a specific brand, style and color of running shoe and decided to check this place out. The store is in a great location with plenty of parking. This is a huge store with aisles and aisles of shoes for the entire family. Each style of shoe and price is displayed on top of the display case. You will find that each brand has its own section. There are boxes with different sizes under each shoe on display. If you're lucky your size will be there. So it's basically hit or miss. I couldn't find the brand of running shoe I wanted so I asked for help. I was quickly shown the aisle wIth what I wanted. Unfortunately, they didnt have the color I wanted. There is a huge clearance area at the back of the store. They offered different different levels of discounts by the sticker color on the shoe box. There was also a purse section I noticed with some cute bags. They offer an awards program if you sign up. You get some really good coupons every now and again. You can get overwhelmed by all the shoes they offer but it's a great place with lots of choices. read more

Was disappointed at the state of the store. A lot of shoes didn't have signs with the prices listed. I finally found 2 associates, an older disheveled gentleman flirting and having what seemed like an inappropriate conversation with a young lady employee. I was very uncomfortable. I had to wait for them to stop so I could ask for prices. Neither seemed eager to assist me. When I checked out, I asked who the manager was and was unfortunately not too shocked to learn it was the older gentleman. I really miss the old days of DSW where your feet were measured, got salespersons to validate your choices and the personable service. Now it's just find your style, size, and bring it to the counter. There were a few courteous young ladies asking if I was finding my needs. However, it was an afterthought to their merchandising and resizing shoes. Everyone was on autopilot and no one seemed "happy" to do their job. Just going through the motions. Sad. Dsw should be : WGARFATC {Who Gives A Rippin Flip About The Customer} Ugggh!!! Well, we start this review out positively, with purchase of Black Patent Leather (upper) Kelsi Dagger 4" heels. Very, Very "G&S". Reg. $89.95 SALE Price. 30%off $62.95 not bad at all. However the operative word being "sale" means they were on the clearance rack, where women w/super large feet have stretched them. I didn't noticed they were stretched until my initial wear. They were like 4' flip flops. 4 days later, I made an attempt to return them for a brand new pair of my size. Unfortunately for me I was being help w/my exchange by Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. When I purchased the shoes I was serviced by Dr. Jekyll super nice. However the return process was not as easy with, Hyde. First he greets me w/ silence and a stare. No, "hello ma'am how may I help you/".. nothing. After getting over my nonverbal greeting I walked to the open register and stated my purpose for being there. His reply as he interrupted my explanation was and I quote "GO GET THE SHOE". I of course turn around assuming he was talking to a fellow employee who was vexatious. And to my surprise no one was standing behind me. Infuriated, I calmly asked "Who are you talking to?" His reply was an emphatic, "You!!" I instructed him to not only refund my shoes but to summon his manager, NOW!. Once the disheveled clearly careless Mgr. arrived I advised him of the amount on the receipt and explained the importance of that menial and insignificant amount. I advised him, that was the service I had just received. Menial and Insignificant!! The Msgr's question/response was and I quote again: "What do want "for" me to do?" {I could hear my mind saying, 'HUH?"} I advanced to the door and left as quickly as I could w/that question lingering in the air for the associate and Mgr. to ponder. Love the clearance rack section. If you're looking for a fun, crazy pair of shoes to liven up a rather plain-jane outfit, they'll have it. I don't know how long ago they did it - it has been a while since i was in the store - but I love the remodel. The wood definitely warms up the space and it takes the warehouse out of DSW. Some of their 'deals' don't really seem like deals, but I have had luck striking a good deal when I shop the clearance section. Usually stock up on my summer (or Florida year round) sandals here and they'll last me through until the next summer. read more

You can always manage to score some really awesome deals. The staff, while not many can be found around the store, are friendly and are always willing to answer questions when you do find someone. I love DSW because of the selection of shoes seems to be endless. That said, I do have to be in the mood for the wonderful endless selection, if I'm not, I can get overwhelmed easily by the choices. However, I will gladly suffer to look at all the pretty shoes. It's a candy shop for this grown up girl!! Love shoes and handbags, what girl don't? Dsw has tons of shoes, handbags, socks, jewelry too! I love how you shop on your own, no sales person following you asking if you want to try on every shoe you pick up... I just walk up and down every isle and if I see a shoe that I like, I'll look for my size and have a seat and try it on. If you don't see your size that means they don't have it and move along... Sometimes I find a few pairs of shoes that I like and sometimes I walk out with nothing. Then asked clerk to order me the color I wanted since size was not available, she said the color was not carried anymore and she couldn't order it. After 10 minutes of searching online, found the size and color I wanted on DSW online. I would say I would still go here to use them as a fitting room, but since they only have sizes 6-7 and 10's in stock for most styles, I can't even say that. I feel like I have settled for DSW since it is pretty much one of the only large shoe store chains in our town. They can be hit or miss with their selection and I often see the same shoes in there season after season, and they hardly ever put anything on sale or offer discounts on new styles. This DSW has a great selection of men's shoes! I especially like the clearance items... There are some really good deals to be had. DSW also has a really good catalog of brands that they sell. And.. My size is always available. This is not always the case with other stores. The staff here was also really friendly. The one person I dealt with was helpful. The prices overall (for non-clearance items) are fair. My wife also really loves shopping here for her shoes. This is a place I always stop in when I am at this shopping center. read more
