Got a cool free mug with my checking!
Andrea S.

I am a new patient and I dread going to the dentist. With this fear I was not really expecting that positive of an experience. I have been to the office for 2 appointments now and I am so glad that I am apart of this practice. There was a hiccup in the beginning, but they rebounded with ease and I appreciate the recovery effort. My anxiety is unmatched when it come to procedures and I was set for an extraction for my second visit. I just knew I wasn't going to be able to handle it, but the staff is amazing and made sure I was comfortable and handled me with care. I have now even told my mom about them and she is thinking of setting up an appointment. I am due back at the end of the month and I have no doubt that my experience with match the others. It is refreshing to have the support I do from this team. Grade: A-

If you are a scary cat like me you can get duckies to hold on to best dentist ever!

This office will convince older patients that they need Invisalign even if they don't. Money grab.

It was clearly something that should have been caught before we left the office. Today, I tried to get it fixed as soon as possible. I called multiple times with no answer, and there was no clear information anywhere indicating they were closed. After getting no response, I even drove all the way there, only to find out the office was closed without any notice. It's frustrating and concerning that there was no communication about their closure, especially when patients may be dealing with urgent issues like this. Leaving a patient, especially a child in pain because of something preventable, and then being completely unreachable, is unacceptable. I expected much better care and communication. All in all the place is great. This first time I have had any issue!

I am 28 years old, and 15 years after Dr. Hutta made my smile "perfect" I am suffering from what he…read moredid not do as my orthodontist. 15 years ago, this review would have looked a lot different; from both my parents and me. It has taken time for my story to be told in its entirety. Here is my timeline in a nutshell: In early elementary school, my parents took me to the most well-known orthodontics in the area, Dr. Hutta, to invest in a better bite for their daughter. From the start, I was showing classic symptoms of ADHD and poor ability to regulate my emotions (relevant later). By middle school, Dr. Hutta had successfully manipulated my teeth into the beautiful arches my parents had paid thousands of dollars for. In my late teenage years, I started to develop TMJ and pain in my back.. I spent my late adolescents and early 20s trying to indirectly treat this. I went to the chiropractor, to the physical therapist and to my dentist about my TMJ; all with very little success. In my mid/later 20s, my childhood dentist retired, and I explored dentists as I tried to establish myself with a new practice. One of the dentists I saw acted surprised when he looked in my mouth. It was brought to my attention that the sides of my once perfect arches had dramatically caved in. I followed up by scheduling an appointment with Dr. Hutta. He told me that I was most likely not breathing right in my sleep, told me he was "sorry" and that it was going to be a long medical journey for me, then charged me 80 dollars for an appointment fee. Since this time, I have been to a few specialists. It turns out, I most likely have something (and always have had it) called UARS (Upper Airway Respiratory Syndrome). If nothing is done, it is almost a guarantee that I will develop Sleep Apnea by middle age. Until then, I am likely looking at a path of consistent deterioration and worsening sleep. Children with UARS may not have blaringly observable sleep problems yet, but they often have the ADHD symptoms like I have had my entire life. Throughout my consultations, the specialists I've worked suggest that I have a deep anatomical overbite- a recessed/weak jaw that would have most likely made me a good candidate for jaw surgery as a child. If I would have had jaw surgery (to my understanding, it was Dr. Hutta's job to educate about my condition and to initiate this kind of treatment with braces as a part of it) it would have significantly helped with my anatomically obstructed airway. Also, I could have had surgery that expanded the space in the roof of my mouth, which would have helped me so much too. Instead of addressing the root of my problem, Dr. Hutta moved my teeth around, but did nothing about my weak jaw.. so his work was not preventative and was not permanent. I don't know this for sure, but according to what I have researched, this likely has permanent neurological implications as I did not adequately sleep and breath in childhood development. I am still dealing with symptoms (it takes a lot of work to relax when you don't sleep/breathe well), I am back at the beginning with needing braces, and have to probably go through a few major surgeries as an adult (surgeries would have been easier to heal from as a kid). If you are a parent and you are choosing to have your child go to Dr. Hutta, and your child is showing ADHD symptoms, please educate yourself about UARS and sleep/breathing problems and make sure you are not blindly going in. Please do not take my word for it (I am not a doctor) but let this be the start of your own research. It seems to be too common of a problem that can easily be overlooked. As for me, when I decide who I will be working with for my probable UARS,, I will not be going back to Dr. Hutta as I do not feel like I can trust his judgement at this point.
