While on the surface there is little to distinguish this from other newsagents... in fact other ones probably look better, and are more spacious and comfortable, but this shop has one thing which sets it aside. This shop has absolutely the most insane deals every day. As you walk in you are greeted with an entire shelf of stock which is on special offer. These range from the standars (buy 1 get 1 free) to absolutely baffling (buy one tin of peaches get 3 mars bars free. Really it is a little adventure everytime you go in.

The shop is apparently a branch of the Cherry's outfit currently selling much of the same in satiny clutches and dripping costume jewellery over in the St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. I visited the London store earlier last year and felt like I didn't buy nearly as much as I should have. So once the opportunity to come to Dublin presented itself, I immediately signed up with the full intention of going to Dundrum and having a field day. I'm not sure why Ireland is the only place outside of the UK where current Cath Kidston stores exist, but regardless, I'm glad. The Dundrum store is located in the Pembroke District, a bit hard to find if you're not familiar, but once you do, it's a girl's paradise. My one let down was that the Dundrum store didn't seem to have as many varieties as the UK store, but it still was packed full of treasures. I bought as much as I possibly could, and my wallet will probably need to be bandaged up from having large amounts of euros yanked out of it. The employees here are super sweet. They give you your space to shop, but are always willing to lend a helping hand in case you need to find a "fresh" (aka new) item from the back. They also did a great job wrapping everything up for me. I have to admit that if you are not a huge fan of Cath Kidston, it would probably seem ridiculous to pay those prices for flower-printed bags or making a special trip to Dublin, but be reassured that you are at least paying for good quality items and that there is more to Dublin than a store your girlfriend just might die over.

They do have some beautiful clothes and it is the type of shop that would be perfect for Mother of the Bride, or someone looking for a very posh outfit. They do stock casual clothes but they would be at a high price also. They stock a small range of shoes and head wear as well as bags and underwear. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Be prepared with your credit card though!!
