I have always preferred yeast donuts because the cake donuts I've had were so dense and dry. I ordered online, which was very easy but I couldn't decide since I was only ordering half a dozen. We got French Toast, Blueberry Lemonade, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Chocolate Caramel Crunch, and Cookies & Cream. All donuts are cooked to order, I like that you can see the waiting time so that we know when to show up to pick up my hot donuts. It was better than I expected. Not greasy, not too dense and not dry at all. I ate a couple at first and few hours later I ate another and I was surprised it was not greasy or tasted stale. I stopped in on my way passing through the area and I was so glad I did. This place surpassed any expectation I had. So many different donut topping options, drinks, and still had classic bacon, egg and cheese breakfast but between a donut which I tried and loved. It happened to be my birthday so one of the donuts was free and that was appreciated as well. Salted caramel chocolate was basically the outside of a drumstick ice cream and isn't that the favorite part always, cookies and cream donut was delicious and the s'mores tasted exactly like the dessert treat without the mess. I stand by the donut breakfast sandwich being my favorite thing and I tried a cold brew as well. Honestly for the price and what all we got I would recommend this over other places in the area hands down. There's also an online ordering system and a rewards points system. As you stand in line you can watch the donuts start to finish before being tucked neatly in a box and handed to you, they even provide a ledge for kids to stand on to see better. I came here expecting a traditional donut shop experience where you look into a glass case and select the donut you want. This is so not that type of shop. Since it was my first time there was a small learning curve and some challenges getting on the same page w the person taking my order. Thankfully there were some loyal patrons there who jumped in to tell me about how it all worked and even gave me some GREAT recommendations (sunrise, maple and bacon, strawberry confetti). This one star is for poor customer service I received by the manager Jennifer. I ordered a milkshake for my child the sign stated to add a donut for a dollar. I requested the donut be placed on the top of the lid. I was told by the manager that she would not accommodate my request. When I asked her why her response was that it goes in the milkshake with the whip cream on top. She stated that if I wanted my donut on the lid she would charge me full price. All I wanted was a plain donut with nothing on it. The donuts themselves are 5 stars. The young employees who work there are great as well. I will add a photo from duck donuts faceback depicting what the manager Jennifer said absolutely could not do and refused to do. So shame on me for ordering Duck Donuts again, but it's a super convenient location and my kids love cake donuts. Made a curbside order for 8:30 am. At 8:55 am I was still waiting for my donuts. I called to make sure it will be brought to my car and was told that "they're working on it" and the person hung up. I REALLY was hoping for a better experience this time, but I'm guessing it's not happening. Finally got my donuts at 9:05 am.
