Great service and good food. Dugan's is a cute pub with lots of decoration, an extensive menu, and great service. There were little things like the condiments being served in plastic containers that took away from the experience, but overall, it was good. Second visit to dugans. I ordered the wings lemon pepper to. I was greeted quickly and offered drink while wait. (Water for me). I really appreciated the FYI that it would be a little wait. Recd order and when I looked, looked a bit underdone but they were fine. As I tend to like more crispy. Took home and ate them all. I usually only eat 5 or 6. The drums were bigger than most, and flats were normal size. Really enjoyed. Only a 4 since they are more costly than most places. I'll be back! read more

My husband and I were looking for a fun place to watch the UGA game and someone told us about Dugan's. We chose to sit at the bar and we are so glad we did. I felt like I was in a Cheers episode. We quickly became friends with all the locals who were sitting at the bar. The bartender, Matt was friendly and efficient. He kept our drinks filled and gave us great recommendations on the food. The corned beef cabbage rolls are a must. We ended up ordering them again because they were so good. The wings were also delicious. And I love homemade chips and theirs were excellent, not too salty. Overall it was a fun afternoon. The people of Brevard are so welcoming and friendly. We cannot wait to plan another trip and Dugan's will be a part of our plan!! read more

We started out dinner on a positive note tonight. The decor inside Dugan's was great, much like that of a pub in Ireland. The waitress was pleasant enough and took care of our drink order efficiently. We ordered and eagerly awaited our dinner as we had several children in our group. We had been busy all day and the kids were already sleepy at 6:15. Dinner arrived and several of our items were wrong or missing. The waitress worked on getting our missing items, but several had to be requested again. The food was good, everyone enjoyed their dinner. Here is where the downfall began. The waitress disappeared for quite a long period of time. When she finally reappeared, one person at our table ordered 2 refills in the event that she would not be back. It is a good thing that he did because we did not see her again for quite some time. When she reappeared, she had the bill in hand and offered to split the check. We told her that would be great and settled in to wait. We ended up having to find the manager to help us with the final bill. He said that the waitress was having trouble with splitting the bill and that he would help her. After a total of 2 hours in the restaurant at this time we were getting extremely frustrated. The manager came back and offered a half hearted apology. The waitress was nowhere to be seen. All in all, the food was good. The atmosphere was nice. The manager and waitress were awful. My only reason for coming here is for the fish and chips and potato skins. Good classic fish and chips. Huge order and very filling. I love potato skins and will order them anywhere that has them. There's nothing exceptional about these but still good. Can't go wrong with bacon and cheese. The atmosphere is great. Dark and had that pub feel, minus the smoke like the old location. The walls are plastered with Irish memorabilia and souvenirs. Minus a few stars mostly for service. It always seems to take a long time here. 3 stars = A OK. My husband brought me here while we were riding on the parkway when I announced "I am hungry and I want a beer!" Typical Irish pub with a chain feel. Reminded me of Bennigans. The service was friendly but at times felt forced. We stuck to appetizers cheese curds and chicken fingers. It was greasy but then again we only ordered fried food. Probably my first time eating fried cheese curds and will not be my last. The fries that came with the chicken fingers were luke warm at best, but the room was pretty cold so that probably did it. Tuesday night. Irish pub was what wife and I were looking for. Go to Ireland frequently so let's give it a try. Not true to an Irish pub but a good place it is!! Arrived 18:00 and was nice and quiet. Beers are cold staff is nice. Burger was great and wife had a pork schnitzel sandwich. Excellent!!! Also had apple beer that wife loves and hasn't had since we were in Germany in spring. The food was really good, would give that 4 stars easy. I had fish and chips while my kid had chicken strips. However the service was pretty bad. I'm in the business and there was no real excuse for that, like being super busy. Perhaps they just can't find good help in the area. Coffee was bad, our order was mixed up, getting necessary sides like lemon slices, refills or napkins was an effort in patience even with two servers stopping by to ask. We had a hard time finding it with our GPS - it took us circling the block a few times before we found it. Our server was helpful with recommending local drafts similar to the beers I like. Dugan's was very good. The crab cakes were almost all crab; so much so, that they were falling apart and incredibly tender and very well seasoned. That's a rarity for most restaurants, and I for one, really appreciated eating these. The only thing that prevented an "Excellent" rating was the Fish and Chips. You'd expect greatness ordering this entree from an Irish Pub. The fries were great, but the fish was woefully under-seasoned. The cod had a fresh taste, but definitely needed a bit more flavor before being battered and fried. Our server was nothing short of perfect and incredibly sweet, efficient and attentive. The draft beer and whiskey selection is extensive and after a long day of hiking, this was a very welcome surprise. I would recommend this place and we will be back to try more items. Awesome pub! I've been looking for this place for years and had no idea they relocated to a larger building. So glad I found my go to spot when traveling through Brevard after fishing or riding the bike. I was afraid that this place had shut down. Don't skip out on a perfectly poured Guinness. A nice local pub if you want to have a beer. The food is only so-so. I thought I'd try the meatloaf since it was a "signature" dish. Well, I sure wouldn't sign my name to it if I'm the cook. The meatloaf comes with mashed garlic potatoes and onions. I asked if the onions were sautéed and got a "yes". Of course they were not. And the potatoes had no flavor. As for the meal loaf, oh my, so dry I needed a beer just to wash it down. And the outside was so tough a fork wouldn't cut it. And no flavor at all! They need to remove the shamrock from this one. I happened into Dugans because I was in the area and always like checking out the Irish Pubs near me. I was not disappointed nor impressed. My hubby and I stopped in after our massages @ Elements. We chose Dugan's basically because we were too darn tired to drive or walk any further. So Dugan's it was. The hostess seated us promptly and the server was boom...right there. We ordered a few beverages and spinach dip. I asked if the dip was frozen or prepackaged and she indicated it was not. And, she was correct! A nice huge crock of gooey spinach/art dip served with a boatload of tortilla chips. On to the main course... Hubby ordered a reuben and a baked potato, and I chose the grilled chicky sandwich with sweet potato fries. The reuben was just okay, and the grilled chicky was very good smothered with cheese and a few slices of bacon. I love being in the south where sweet tater fries are standards on the menu; and these were very tasty too. Our server was on top of everything and it was a good quick yummy experience. Went here to watch college football on a Saturday evening bc I was told it's the only legit sports bar in town. They have a lot of TVs but they aren't arranged great. Where I was sitting I could only really see one game and not even that well. My wife got a chef salad with no dairy due to allergies and it was very underwhelming/small/overpriced. Halfway through her salad, she discovered a dirty food ticket in it. The manager was nice and comped it. My son's shepherds pie was good. I would say stick to the irish pub fare if you go. The inside is kinda cool/interesting with a lot of random knick knacks everywhere. There's much better restaurants in the area and there's no guarantee you'll get to see much football depending on where you sit. read more
