Great spot for breakfast and lunch! They have patio seating only, but it's cozy and relaxing--perfect for a laid-back meal. I loved their matcha drink--it was so good! Their bánh mì sandwich was fantastic, and the loaded fries were amazing--crispy, crunchy, and piled high with meat. We devoured them before even starting our main dishes. The chilaquiles were delicious, and the eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, just the way I wanted. Service was excellent--the manager came out to chat with us and brought over an incredible selection of hot sauces (so many to choose from!). Even in the parking lot, the valet was super friendly, pointing us to the entrance and giving helpful directions. We found it (back of a production office building) and when we saw the tiny kitchen, we thought we made a mistake. However, the Dukes' staff was super friendly and helpful and we decided to give it a try. My brother had the Popeye Scramble and I had the tuna salad. His was DELICIOUS and mine was the best tuna salad I've ever had. Fresh and perfect amounts of veggies from the local farmers, and amazing tuna. Food: Popeye Scramble (house ground sausage substituted for the chicken) 5/5: Two good sized, very juicy and perfect amount of fattiness sausages, a lot of veggies in the scramble, sides of potatoes were so creamy in the inside and the onions incredibly tasty. But honestly was still very good, sweetness of the sweet potatoes with the sprinkle of salt paired nicely Matcha, Americano, Cold brew (with cold brew ice cubes) 5/5 - We went with basic drinks and sometimes it's harder to find good basics, but Duke didn't disappoint us! Drinks were all good as much as their foods. Brownie 4.5/5: Prepackaged brownies made from a house kitchen. These were decadent, not too sweet (dark chocolate based), and tasted freshly made. Reason for 4.5 instead of 5 is because they were pretty chewy but just not as much as I do prefer my brownies, but otherwise it deserves a 5! +10/5 Additionally they had a crazy variety of hot sauces which I really appreciated. I love hot/spicy food and never been to a place that had such variety available. Service: 5/5 Didn't get the staffs' name but they were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Convenience: 5/5 Parking lot is available right in front with plenty of spots. My friend and I came here since we were early for our friend's funeral at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It's a short walk so it's a convenient location. I thought it was an indoor sit down type of place but it's really small. You order and there's outdoor seating. It was cold when we went so that was a bummer. I ordered the avocado toast and just had no expectations. But that's the best because it exceeded expectations. It was really tasty and the chef personally brought our food to us. He was really nice. I visited here for a late lunch and the most part of my journey was finding the location itself. It's smack dab in the middle of a separate company and I eventually found it after walking through the perimeter of the building. The service and food were wonderful there were clear answers to any of my questions and I was always checked up upon by the staff. The burrito was delicious with their homemade sauce and the matcha itself was a good quality matcha comparable to that of a barista shop. The breakfast burrito had this garlic aioli that elevated the flavor of the other ingredients so much, and the worker gave us a whole array of hot sauce to try on our food! My favorite was one called Cloud 23. If you ever come across it at a grocery store, I would say it's definitely worth a purchase Worker kept checking to make sure we weren't missing anything. This place is a hidden gem! I recently went for the first time and had an amazing experience. I had an oat latte and a breakfast croissant with the potatoes and both were amazing. The portions were large and I had to take half of the sandwich to go. They also had vegan substitutes and options and were very knowledgeable on subject. The best part of the cafe was Jonathon's bucket of various hot sauces that we got to try. We learned that his parents collected hot sauces on their cross country road trips so we got to try a lot of new and interesting sauces. The one thing I will say is after you order at dukes wait outside because it's a small kitchen and the smell will stick to your closes l. I order the cheesesteak and it's not the best I've had but it was pretty solid. The he steak was cooked and seasoned well. The bread could have been toasted a bit or done more with butter it was ok. The fries were nice and seasoned but they to were nothing special just basic fries. Absolutely delicious, huge portion of fruit with cherries, melon, a plum, and grapes. Sandwich was truly delicious and was enough food for two (mom and I aren't huge eaters, but still, really generous). Lovely people working in there too. And insanely delicious strawberry lemonade. Often when I order a sandwich or something similar, I can only eat half of it and then leave the rest for dinner. Also I particularly want to say how great their matcha latte is.
