My friend and I came here since we were early for our friend's funeral at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It's a short walk so it's a convenient location. I thought it was an indoor sit down type of place but it's really small. You order and there's outdoor seating. It was cold when we went so that was a bummer. I ordered the avocado toast and just had no expectations. But that's the best because it exceeded expectations. It was really tasty and the chef personally brought our food to us. He was really nice. I think if you want a quick bite, it's great. But it's not a sit down cafe like we thought it was.

Popeye Scramble with house ground sausage

Came here for the first time on a Friday and really enjoyed our meal here. Checked off all the boxes! Vibe: 5/5 Small cute cafe on the side of an office building. Has only outdoor seating but it's a very nice patio style with ample shade. We didn't use but they have some board games available for use. Bathrooms are available inside the building and very clean. Food: Popeye Scramble (house ground sausage substituted for the chicken) 5/5: Two good sized, very juicy and perfect amount of fattiness sausages, a lot of veggies in the scramble, sides of potatoes were so creamy in the inside and the onions incredibly tasty. Texture of the sourdough was so soft but also chewy and we loved the slight tanginess Breakfast buritto (house ground chorizo) 5/5: Again, very juicy, flavorful, and seasoning was on point. Did not skimp out on amount of meat Sweet potato fries 4.5/5: If I were to be nit picky, could be a little more crispy. But honestly was still very good, sweetness of the sweet potatoes with the sprinkle of salt paired nicely Matcha, Americano, Cold brew (with cold brew ice cubes) 5/5 - We went with basic drinks and sometimes it's harder to find good basics, but Duke didn't disappoint us! Drinks were all good as much as their foods. Brownie 4.5/5: Prepackaged brownies made from a house kitchen. These were decadent, not too sweet (dark chocolate based), and tasted freshly made. Reason for 4.5 instead of 5 is because they were pretty chewy but just not as much as I do prefer my brownies, but otherwise it deserves a 5! +10/5 Additionally they had a crazy variety of hot sauces which I really appreciated. I love hot/spicy food and never been to a place that had such variety available. Service: 5/5 Didn't get the staffs' name but they were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Convenience: 5/5 Parking lot is available right in front with plenty of spots. We even got a sample of one of their protein smoothies, it was thick, not too sweet, flavor was good without any of the gritty protein taste. Will visit next time to try their smoothies, and also their specials which were two types of hotdogs that sounded so delishhh

I visited here for a late lunch and the most part of my journey was finding the location itself. It's smack dab in the middle of a separate company and I eventually found it after walking through the perimeter of the building. The service and food were wonderful there were clear answers to any of my questions and I was always checked up upon by the staff. The burrito was delicious with their homemade sauce and the matcha itself was a good quality matcha comparable to that of a barista shop. There are plenty of other items on the menu that I would like to try, so you best believe I'd be coming back whenever I'm in the area again.

Tucked away in the parking lot of Hollywood Production Center we discovered this hidden secret. Food is made with care. It's reasonably priced. Portions are large. Dogs are allowed.

I came here for an afternoon snack, as I waited for my car to finish repairs at the shop around the corner. Quick service, friendly service. Got to sample the drinks before purchasing. I just wanted a side of sweet potato fries which wasn't on the menu, but they accommodated. It came out hot, $5. Only outdoor seating, but they do have umbrellas. Free refills!

Chef Jonathan is incredibly kind and welcoming. I'm can be picky with food, and he always goes out of his way to accommodate me. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is amazing, and everyone here is so sweet. It's a quiet little spot with a super chill vibe and a lovely water fountain outside. Great food, great service, great atmosphere -- highly recommend!

Delicious food and amazing staff! Ordered a breakfast bacon sandwich with potatoes and it was so tasty. Their garlic aioli gives it a nice touch - delicious! I came in with my dog while I was waiting for my car to get fixed across the street and the staff were so welcoming and sweet. Even gave my pup some unseasoned chicken and water. They have a beautiful patio space with plenty of seating and shade.

Really well made chicken cali sandwiches the best around in town and the hospitality was amazing out of the ballpark made me feel welcomed right from the start. John the owner of the business is very kind even extended his business hours to make an extra sandwich. I recommend the cali chicken sandwich

Really great cafe with awesome food! I wasn't a big fan of their drinks, but the food was amazing. The breakfast burrito had this garlic aioli that elevated the flavor of the other ingredients so much, and the worker gave us a whole array of hot sauce to try on our food! My favorite was one called Cloud 23. If you ever come across it at a grocery store, I would say it's definitely worth a purchase Worker kept checking to make sure we weren't missing anything. Also, the sandwich comes with a side of potatoes or fruit! Outdoor seating was lovely, there's a water fountain and pretty paintings :)

Great food, I ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich with fruit. The sandwich was delicious! Loved the different fruit side, it contained strawberries, mango, grapes, pineapple, melon and kiwi. Definitely will be trying the rest of the menu. Keep up the good work! read more

Took a business mtg here a few months back and had a great experience. The location makes it perfect for film/tv folks bc of it as well as it shares a space w/a production office. John & Patrick provide amazing service and the food was delectable. 99% of the time I'm eating a sandwich for lunch and this spot had a diverse array of selections in that dept. This place is a gem, I eat breakfast or lunch here around 3 times a week. The food is bomb and everyone there is friendly. Also even when it's busy the food comes out fast. It's at the Hollywood Production Center and you can get to it through the parking lot on Lodi place side or walking through the gate on Gower. I was confused where it was at first but I buzzed into the building and asked the person at the desk. The rest is history! read more

Came in for a quick smoothie on my coffee break. I can't remember the name of the man who served us, but he was an absolute gem! Graciously offered us samples of some of their smoothies, very kind, cracked a joke, and overall made the atmosphere just so much better. Both smoothies we got were great, we got the peanutbutter, & a pineapple something (the pineapple was for sure the winner) Hopefully I'll be working near here again! read more

I was having my car serviced on the corner of Santa Monica and Grower, so I tried this place where they have a quiet nice patio to sit around and relax. People working at the cafe are super friendly. Latte was great. I wish they are not so hidden behind the building so that they could get more foot traffic. If you are around the area, give them a try. Highly recommend it. read more

Second visit to this somewhat hidden, small, but bustling with activity Hollywood cafe. Adjacent to a post-production studio and large parking lot, one is greeted with a charmingly, cozy outdoor courtyard, with tables for dining, before entering the cafe space. Previously, had the banh mi, which was dynamite...this visit, wanted to try something new. Decided on the Cuban sandwich, with the sweet potato fries; and, a patty melt, with a side salad. Everything was delicious! Loved both the patty melt and the Cuban--both sandwiches well-composed, cooked perfectly and bursting in flavor. Sweet potato fries were fresh-tasting, and a perfect accompaniment to the sandwich(es). And, the proprietor of this establishment [Jonathan] and his staff are all so friendly and welcoming. First time here at Dukes Cafe and I gotta say the food is amazing! I'm eating their sandwiches as we speak. Coffee is great , sandwiches are great, the service is great! They got a punch card that gives ya rewards like cmon now! Gotta love that! They got smash burgers! Lord almighty !!!! Overall fantastic experience here, it was very welcoming and the atmosphere was friendly. The cooks greeted me as I walked in and it felt like I had known these guys for years in just the few minutes speaking to them. They treated me right when I came in they hooked it up with some cookies. Great bunch , great food, great time. You're gonna love it! read more

What a hidden gem! Blink and you might miss it. Stumbled across this amazing spot while on a business meeting in the area. Very private and relaxing setting, staff was beyond welcoming. The young man that helped me was very knowledgeable of the menu and quickly pointed to the right direction. I went with an amazing tuna melt (He suggested to add bacon ) w/ sweet potato fries. I hired Jonathan to cater an event with a combined total of around 300 adults and children. It was a casual Sunday afternoon barbecue with hamburgers, hotdogs, and various salads. He was so easy to work with. Very clear in communicating. There were no surprises. The service was excellent. The food was outstanding and so delicious. And, I would say that we received an excellent value for the food and professional service provided. You would not be disappointed by hiring Jonathan for your catering needs. Dukes is one of those rare LA spots that feels like a small town cafe. The staff is kind and attentive and the coffee is great. The breakfast burrito is amazing. The eggs are fluffy, the bacon is crispy, and the tortilla had a nice sear on the outside. It's so good on its own and then sampling all the hot sauces with it takes it to the next level. I can't believe I'm leaving a five-star review for some Raiders fans. LOL these guys are great fantastic personalities Charisma and customer service. But most importantly the food is the star of the show. I was literally walking on the sidewalk and two people walk by me and I smelled their food and I instantly asked where they got it and they said the little cafe in the back of that studio building which is open to the public. I got the California Chicken Sandwich I believe without avocado because well I'm not from California LOL. And I upgraded to crinkle cut fries I believe it was $2 for the upgrade and I got a ton of fries. When I say this sandwich was absolutely delicious I mean it. And when I say that these guys have the sauce well it's because they literally have 10 to 15 different sauces I feel like you can choose from for dipping. Anytime I'm in this neighborhood I am going to be stopping by to see these fellas and their Raiders hats! Next time I'm going to try one of the burgers because two guys got those in front of me and they looked incredible. Go Chiefs lol! read more
