I was in town visiting and wanted to try something new. I am so glad that I found this place. The food is unique and has a wide variety. The main courses were delicious and the sides were to die for. Make sure you try the honey carrots! The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. The staff was very helpful in giving up descriptions and favorites. They also have a very unique soda choice in that it is all made with real sugar. Everything was so good and I will definitely be back when I am in town again. read more

A long time ago, I went to Dukes for happy hour, which was pretty good from my recollection. Recently, we went back for lunch, and I was told their burgers were really good. We got Truffle Fries for the table. They we chocked full of parmesan, garlic, and herbs and came with a fabulous garlic filling everyone liked. Several burgers were bought - Hangover, The Jam, John Popper and Reg. Mine was the popper and it was amazing! The popper stuffing and then jalenpeno to give it a quick was a burst of flavor and so yummy. The jalenpeno grits were on time and I added some of the parmesan, garlic and herbs from the truffle fries which really set it off. Everyone loved their burgers. read more

My first night I got there a little late but the staff took great care of me and my food was delicious. So good in fact, I went back for my last night as well and things were jumping in the dinner hour. I like the way you order up front at the bar and grab a drink and wait for your food. Food ~ the Patty Melt was very nicely done & the grilled onions were caramelized to perfection! I upgraded to their side salad & it was delicious. Cocktails ~ these were tasty but the only downfall to be 5 stars is that they had ice in them - no true cocktail (Martini style) has ice so this took away from the experience of sipping a nice Martini! Tried again today and had a really disappointing experience. I was there with a group of coworkers for lunch. My coworker ordered the kids meal chicken strips and was told she could not order off the kids menu. She has cancer and is not able to eat much food but wanted to still bond with her team over lunch. After explaining she has cancer and escalating to the manager, she was still told no. She was told they could give her a two chicken strip meal but would be charged for the full size. (?!) I could understand turning down adults ordering of the kids menu as a general rule but this was a situation where an exception should have been made. She was with a full party of 6 other adults ordering regular meals. The suggestion to give her less food for the same price was awful. As far as the food, my sandwich was good. I got the Abby. Was a little past the point of messy and more in wet territory. Fries were improved, but still kind of greasy and soft. Will not return because of the poor customer service. read more

The board of our local Apple computer club met at Duke's tonight in their side room. It was a perfect gathering place for the small committee to get some work done and enjoy a meal together!
