My cat started exhibiting some strange behaviour and we decided to bring him to the Animal…read moreEmergency Clinic, just to be safe. When we arrived, we signed in and the receptionist explained what was going to happen and asked me some questions. We were shown into a room where they examined my cat, Buster, and the vet discussed some options with us as to what may be wrong. One of her hypotheses ended up being right when he was later diagnosed with a fatal disease, but she gave us a few options and some treatment options as well. They did bloodwork quickly and Buster was back with me shortly thereafter. While they weren't able to help Buster in the long-term, they did help to provide me with a lot of useful information to take away and instructions for what to do should the issues get worse. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who cannot get to their regular clinic. Beware, the prices are steep but for the well being of your pet, its well worth it!

Do not take your pet here! Prices are extortion. Our dog had a suspected blockage. $2,500 for xray…read moreand overnight stay. Then they said 8-12k on top of that for surgery. We found another vet for 1/3 of the cost and they spoke to this vet, lied and blocked the transfer. Wheb we gave the approval to proceed with the overpriced surgery they did more tests and came up with a new diagnosis. Then they went back to recommending tests and surgery. We took our dog to another vet and didn't tell them where we were going. everything resolved including surgery, 2 night stay and a month of food, for less than 4K. we spent 6k at AEC and all they did was tests. When I raised the issue of blocking the transfer the management refused to consider any wrong doing. this place is owned by Vet strategy who sets their pricing and is impossible to reach. I'm in the process of filing a formal complaint with the college of vets of Ontario

A this point she was stressed and I took her home. 4 hours for a grooming service? left in a cage? what was the point of making an appointment? shes a rescue and a puppy 3+ hours in a cage with no pee breaks is unacceptable and borderline abuse, I exped more from "animal lovers" Emily was horrible manager and should not be around animals as she's very desensitized to the care of animals. DO NOT BRING YOU PETS HERE!

I've taken him for nail trims dozens of times, he's never, ever bitten a groomer. Her "evaluation" made him so anxious he backed into a corner while she kept swinging a leash at him. He never bared his teeth, growled, his hackles never raised...but they rejected him for grooming. This location should come with a disclaimer - calm, passive dogs only. The only reason I went there today is because my 2 regular places are closed on Mondays and my poor boy had 1 nail crossed over the other so, kind of an emergency today. I wouldn't recommend the groomers to anyone. ** I love this store's adoption program, I've adopted 2 cats from them.

Your angels deserve a more loving and caring place to stay…read more Im a former employee (by choice) your furbabies are forced to listen by fear. "oh he was such a good boy" is what you get from particular staff but what they should be telling you is "he barked too much and I threw things at the kennels until he became quiet" "I screamed at your dog because he didn't listen to every single word I had said and he got frightened enough to back into a corner and left me alone" "we told you that your kitty loved it here and would have time out of his suite but instead, we left out that he wasn't very 'nice' to us so he didn't get to come out for the entire week you were gone" The list goes on... This "establishment" is not up to code, the boss (Eleanor) attacks the character of her staff members and belittles them on the daily, more so when they are off the clock. we had many staff that treated your pets like family and showed all the love they could without being told off or threatened to be let go. They would tell you that your pets will get the comfort youd ask for, when in reality they don't care what you say and will talk ignorantly about the clients and disregard everything you had asked of them. they may be cheaper to go to but if you want your animals comfortable. this is not the place for that. hence why it's rare for many staff to stay. I stayed as long as I did because I loved your furbabies and wanted to give them comfort. I thought this was the perfect job for me but the management and treatment of the staff, clients and their pets was disgusting.

I witnessed some concerning behaviours from two staff members. I observed instances where fear and…read moreintimidation were used as training methods within the big dog kennels. For example, I observed two staff members yelling at the top of their lungs at dogs when they wouldn't listen right away, which caused visible distress among the animals. Although I understand that managing multiple dogs can be challenging, I believe that positive reinforcement should always be prioritized over fear-based tactics.
