The drinks are sweet, so don't be surprised. I got a panini and it was delicious. They have a small parking lot, so keep that in mind. I will be returning to try the other food. The service was slow. Once you place your order, you're kind of on your own. However, the decor was so cute! Definitely a feminine feel and I love it.

This place was so good. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was so nice. My friend and I didn't speak Spanish so it was a little rocky coming in and ordering, but that was basically a non-issue. It's a small place with limited parking, so I parked on the side street in the neighborhood. Inside is a little packed but nothing uncomfortable. With all the other patrons, the place was very lively. I enjoyed my meal and my time there. I definitely want to come back. I saw the Cookie Monster drink on my way out and it looked amazing.

Great local business with super fun over the top drinks. The atmosphere is so cute and the staff was great. If you don't speak Spanish don't be afraid - I promise you that you will still have a great experience. The food was good and the drinks were so cute - I really had to stop myself from becoming a drink goblin and getting three. Try it out if you are in the area!

My nephew and I were looking for a place to hang out for a second and chew the fat. This cafe came up as a close by option. We both really enjoyed our drinks. I got a mango smoothie and he got a vanilla latte. A lot of care and detailed attention went into creating our drinks. They took a long time to come out but it seemed like there was only one barista. I'm going to try them out again and check out the food. Whatever the other patrons were ordering looked so good!

I ordered online and picked up, food was still hot .. I ordered the omelette and a frappe They were both great Only down fall was, the frappe could have been blended better but everything was good -- Ice cream was kind of freezer burn

Super Cute place, as soon as you walk in the delicious smells greet you at the door. The esthetic of place is very chill. They have a variety of crapes and drinks. It's a cute hidden gem in the neighborhood. The only bad thing is the parking. The parking lot only has room for 4 cars however that's not enough to deter me from coming to this place. Love it! I will be treating my girls to this place once a week.

Crepa de casa con premio! 4tha vez en este restaurant y es la 4ta vez que me pasa algo malo I just keep coming because is way closer to my house but I definitely stop coming here!! I'll do Cicero instead

Crepes are amazing! The wonderful lady who took our order was so genuine and sweet! Definitely an amazing price for the quality of food you get. The cute decor just puts the experience even better.

They give you the wrong food and still have to pay for it. Besides the 34 min wait to get the drink it was made wrong.

Maybe it's because I'm not typically on my phone when I go to order so I've never heard of this "rule" before. But apparently, they don't serve people if you're "on the phone." In my case, I wasn't just otp, I was on a Zoom meeting. Can't just sign off. It was for work, just wanted a coffee and maybe something to eat before heading to my job. It wasn't a negative experience. Per se. It looked like the owner was pretty chill about it. And I get it---ppl can be rude, I'm sure. Having to take an order while someone is on the phone is annoying. But it's also strange to police people's behavior to that extent. So anyway, I got my coffee and decided against getting food. I'll still probably come back. My fave is their pistachio latte and it's a comfortable, chill spot to write at. They should probably put a sign up about that rule if they haven't already!

Unbelievable negative experience based on how our situation was handled, not because of an order…read moremiscommunication. Context: I ordered a specialty sandwich with a bread substitute and gave my name. The name was misheard and written down incorrectly (and order was not repeated for confirmation). So there was confusion when the order was called out. When I checked on it, I was told by the manager the sandwich can't have substitutes and to either order something else or take the already-made order (that was probably cold at this point). Instead of acknowledging there was a misunderstanding, it seemed the blame was shifted on us and that we were SUPPOSED to know they can't substitute when we initially ordered, even though we weren't informed of this by the barista. We felt the manager approached us with a more accusatory tone than necessary, so we requested a refund. Instead of refunding my card, he returned with a gift card for the value of the sandwich. We were confused because this had not been what we asked for. And then he went on to inform us that he had reviewed security camera footage and had confirmed via the footage that there was "no mention" of the bread substitution (even though he admitted there was no audio recording). He stated he needed to side with his employee even though we repeatedly told him we understand that miscommunications can happen. We didn't expect him to throw his employee under the bus or "choose sides" but we expected him to handle the situation more professionally. His handling felt unnecessary, dismissive, and confrontational. The focus should have been on resolution NOT investigation. He was especially dismissive to my girlfriend who voiced the concerns initially because she wasn't the one who paid for the order directly. We were both rightfully upset so it felt rude for him to shut her down. Mistakes happen in any restaurant. What shouldn't happen is making a customer feel as though they are being blamed or told their account of events isn't credible (which he consistently did). A straightforward acknowledgement, refund, and moving on would have resolved everything. Instead, the situation was escalated and handled in a way that felt defensive and unprofessional. Ultimately, we received a cash refund, but unfortunately, this left a far worse impression than the original mix-up, especially for a cafe that has "Community" in its name. ‍

The rest doesn't really have table space. The ube latte was good. The ube was potatoey, not the fake purple vanilla. It didn't settle out. And the espresso could still shine through. The pourover was also smooth and came out the perfect warm and drinkable temperature. The paper cup started to get a bit soft but it never leaked. I do drink very slowly though. The chicken Bao filling was unexpected. It was very soft/mushy texture of finely minced or ground meat if it was raw but it was fully cooked. The flavor was great though. They also have a lot of other Filipino pasteries like ensaymada and pandesal.

The atmosphere felt modern, calm, and thoughtfully designed, and the barista was friendly and welcoming. I tried both the matcha and the Spanish latte. The Spanish latte was the clear standout - smooth, strong, beautifully balanced, and not overly sweet. The latte art was a nice touch, and I would definitely recommend ordering it. The matcha was decent, though I personally found the flavor a bit diluted and wished it had a stronger matcha presence. Overall, this is a very solid neighborhood coffee shop and one I'd happily return to. It's also the perfect pairing with Fat Peach Bakery just down the street - together they make for a breakfast-of-champions kind of morning.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

I ordered the birria chilaquiles which were just ok, the meat was a bit on the bland side, which is the opposite of what a good birria should be. When I asked our waitress if I could have cheese on mine (as it doesn't come with cheese or eggs for that matter) she said that they couldn't make that adjustment because they were too busy & the kitchen didn't like to have any changes to a plate (REALLY???? they know 365 beforehand that Mother's Day will be busy, so they should be prepared for the high volume of customers) I didn't insist and added eggs to my order (be prepared to pay $4.00 extra for two eggs). What I found funny was my beans came with cheese...really, they couldn't have just tossed some over my chilaquiles!‍. My sister liked her poblano chilaquiles, which were good and mom had mole enchiladas, which she enjoyed. But the overall star of the meal were the strawberry pancakes we got for dessert! They were absolutely delicious! They came with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and a side of strawberry sauce (more of a coulis sauce) that tasted homemade. We didn't even ask for syrup, that's how good they were (reminded us of true Mexican pancakes...IYKYK). In spite of the businesses of the day, our waitress was attentive and nice. I'll go back, but will try something else and definitely get the pancakes for dessert! Another note to be aware of, they don't have a waiting area, so if someone in your party can't stand for long periods, like my mom, take that into consideration before going on a busy day (like Mother's Day). When we did ask, the guy taking down the reservations said "you can wait in the car" with a bit of nastiness and smirk...unnecessary attitude. He might have not meant it that way since they do text when your reservation is ready, but he needs to work on sounding like an a-hole and could have said "I'm soo sorry we do not, but please feel free to wait in your car since we will text when your reservation is ready" in a compassionate tone, or something to that extent. La Catedral management, please work on that!
