Came out to ride the dunes Stayed two nights and overall experience was the dunes are small. It was windy, but there's plenty of parking and you can't get lost. Get your parking permit as you enter the parking Sanddune area and don't forget to pick up your trash. Have fun. read more

Beautiful playground for those on dirt bikes, four wheelers, side-by-side's, and more. If you like to have fun with your toys this is a place to let loose and get wild in the sand. There's a flat rate to get into the area, you can park pretty much wherever you want except on the dunes, there are a few out houses scattered around the site but the area is very remote and desolate. If you're staying longer than a few hours make sure you have plenty of supplies and water. I went out with the 4 x 4 truck but it weighs so much I would sink into the sand so we drove around the perimeter watched other people have fun and climbed up a few Sandune's to take pictures. Even though we were only there for a few hours it was absolutely worth it to be able to drive on and around such large sand dunes For those that have off-road toys it's an absolute must visit place!! read more

Went to Dumont Dunes for the first time over Halloween weekend. They charge $40 entrance for holiday weekends and the line took about an hour and a half to get in. I'm not sure if that's typical, but once we got in, we had a great rest of the weekend. It seemed like there were thousands of motor homes there, but everyone pretty much stuck around their own motor home unless they were out riding. We had some great rides! I'd like to come back out on a non holiday weekend when it's maybe not so crowded. read more

First time here food was awesome. Price is steep but it all depends on how you serve yourself. It's per pound definitely recommend it.

As long as your okay with sand and wind this is a place for you. It's pretty big. A lot of places to ride and camp out. There is bathrooms also with numbers which helps a lot so I don't get lost out there. It's like being the middle of no where so definitely ride safe. They have big events for some holidays. I'm not sure which ones I do know it gets crazy packed for Halloween and thanksgiving. I went for Halloween 2020, it was packed but still enough room for everyone. The people that do go aren't always so friendly. I would suggest to just stick to your own group. The views is beautiful. At night it can get extremely cold and windy I suggest always make sure you make sure you have enough warm clothing and blankets. Do not forget to make sure you have enough fuel for your dirt toys and a spare if you have one. Things can happen and it will suck to be out there not being able to ride cause a tire issue. I learned that lesson the hard way haha. If you are spending the night make sure to have enough fire wood and water. Ride safe everyone! read more

First time going to Dumont Dunes it's pretty sweet it's less of a zoo than Glamis or Niland their are plenty of flushless restrooms everywhere, Park Rangers Were Very Chill but their were plenty of eye sore discombobulated Shit4Brains Trump Supporters showing off their "Made In China" Trump Banners And Those nasty ass Dixie Confederate Flags and that's about It !!! read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk by but I was practically dying to take my dune buggy down those golden dunes. The singing sand, the serpentine and peridotite. Off highway vehicle (OHV) driving test doesn't require three point turns or signals! Only yellow lights are at sunset and sunrise. The BLM playground built by soap and overrun with dust. Went to Dumont again recently for T.day and it was great! Only concern was people burning firewood that contains nails! For those of you that think it's never a problem in the dunes, you are WRONG! I got a nail in my tire driving through the flats, I didn't even run over any old debris or fire ash that I could see. May have even picked it up at comp hill. OKAY GUYS AND GALS, THE RULE STATES "NO BURNING WOOD WITH NAILS" FOLLOW THE RULE! Might as well put one nail/screw into your tire for every piece of wood being burnt containing them.... read more

I have been going to Dumont Dunes since I was 6 years old and now I'm 19 great place to make memories

Haven't been to Dumont in a while. Love going out there for Banshee Wars and around Halloween. For a 1.5 hr trip from Las Vegas, it doesn't get better than Dumont if you're looking for some sand to ride in. North Pole and South Pole are two landmarks that are on opposite ends of the park. read more
