NOTE: this occurred in Wisconsin -- but I saw one of their lawyers post on FB that they can work in all 50 states. My mother lost her job a few years back. Basically, after decades of working in factories, it took a toll on her health. When her doctor gave her a note that said she needed a different position that didn't trigger her health problems, her workplace basically told her she should just quit. My mom doesn't speak English well and never went to college, so she didn't know her rights and just did as she was told. She tried looking for jobs, but with her limitations, no one would hire her. She tried to apply for disability on her own, but was denied -- even with doctors heavily documenting her conditions. She was connected with Duncan Disability Law and they were a life saver. They helped her every step of the way. They sent clear and timely letters notifying her of next steps and the status of the appeal. In the end, she was offered an option of either accepting a mediocre result (backdating just a few months) or trying to fight for what was right (backdating coverage to when she lost her job a year or so ago). They explained the options clearly and gave her the space to make the decision. The lawyers don't live in the same town as my mom -- so much of the communications were done via phone and letter. Throughout the process, the lawyers were very helpful and I would recommend them with no reservations whatsoever. I've been more on the periphery, helping my mom make sense of documents being sent her way -- but it has been so much easier having this law firm be a part of the team. Dana Duncan was my attorney for 3 years and in that time I talked to him a total of one time. I was approved for SSI two years ago and he failed to read the judgment issued by social security where it stated I was approved for SSI. Because of this obviously I did not receive any payments that I should have for those two years in my life was absolutely destroyed because of it. He defended his actions by blaming me for not yelling it out in court and blaming everything on social security for having a coding issue. He accepted no responsibility for the negligence his firm showed my case and after 2 years of being approved for SSI he quit on me before it went to Federal Court leaving me to figure it out on my own. If I did not act myself after he quit I would have never received my SSI and would have had to start all over again. Luckily I did read the judgment and when it was pointed out to social security the issue was finally fixed but again no responsibility for the negligence shown in my case. I was even threatened with a restraining order if I contacted him or his office again in a series of emails as well as a two-page letter which I was surprised he found time to write since he had no time to even return a phone call to me. My advice is to find a different attorney. read more

I am a practicing medical provider, and have called this firm 3 times without successful contact. My patient had terminal cancer and could not even get a return phone call from this attorney office. Extremely sad case that they took her money and did not help her. she was already determined disabled by the department of vocational rehab, and only needed a simple advocate to get some paperwork done for her. would never recommend this law firm, if you can call it that. read more
