You can find almost anything here if you're looking for a gift or something cute for yourself to take home. I will say that a few of the stalls did not seem like they had made their own products, and maybe bought a lot of something (like souvenirs) and are re-selling them for a pretty penny more. When we visited, though, I definitely focused on the stalls that had handmade items - jewelry, art, and even small things for my cats! It's a very adorable little market housed in a beautiful church, so definitely plan a stop there if you're interested in shopping around (you don't even have to buy anything, it's all just neat to see!)

It is a loved place by children too who often visit the centre for a bit of live fun. I visited the centre in order to see the interactive dance show of Scottish Dance Theatre yesterday. The day was rather gray outside but once I stepped inside all my weather worries were swept away. I entered a very warm environment of smiling and enthusiastic faces of young dancers and dancers to be from primary school classes . The centre isn't big but offers enough room to meet and talk to people. The cafe has also a very friendly look and bar staff are very attentive. The show of SDT had a special message and involved dancers with disabilities showing the equal opportunities on stage. I had really good time.

My husband attends the Dad & Kids club with our four children (13, 11, 7 and 23 months) and they all enjoy the group and the centres well equipped rooms and modern layout. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and everyone is made to feel welcome. This is a modern building with a huge amount of soul.

We drove past the Kelpies several times the past few years. Visible from far away on the M9…read more This time we decided to spend a little time here. And indeed it's actually well worth the hype! Parked at the Helix carpark, just a short walk away. With a fixed rate of only 3.50£. It's really great that visiting The Kelpies if free of charge. As well as the grounds and the Helix Park south of the carpark. Public toilets, some food stalls and a souvenir shop are located on the grounds. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges, and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of the Falkirk area. The Kelpies are 30 metres (98 ft) high and weigh 300 tonnes each, built of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding. It's an impressive sight - an amazing sight. It's a popular place to visit. But we've chosen a late afternoon and many visitors were gone already. A good decision, took some good pics. Walked along the canal heading east for a bit. Then along the canal heading south back to the carpark. Almost had the paths to ourselves. There's a lot more to walk, to see and to discover. Including a several mile long circle path (through the town). Surely a thing we will do next time. Was a lot more interesting, prettier and rewarding than we thought. We will definitely be back.
