The sales lady was more than helpful when aiding me in my choosing of arch supports, and was exceedingly well-informed, having undergone a similar experience herself. When they didn't have exactly what I was after, she was more than happy to order it for me. Bonus points for super support and assistance, which was well needed, let me tell you. The pharmacy itself is a Holywood institution and is very much a customer-orientated chemists (as I learned). Sweeney's is one of the bigger independent pharmacies, offering a great range of perfume, makeup, toiletries and pharmaceutical stock at very affordable prices. My sister managed to find pressed powder for £2.99 (those bright yellow labels are incredibly alluring), and decided to purchase that. All in all, a very good experience was had at Sweeney's. If I need any kind of advice on medicines and the like (oh please no), I *will* be back.

Anytime I have had to go in here I have enjoyed the overall vibe of the place, it is a nice bright and airy shop that is a nice place to call into. This is even on top of the excellent customer service. This place offers the usual stuff that most pharmacys do, namely make up, perfume, toiletries and medicines all at a pretty reasonable, standard price. A simple question like, "Awww Terry how is that ingrown toenail of yours?" quickly turns into a 45 minute conversation about the importance of nail clipping. All I went in for was some hair wax, but due to the nature of conversation I made a swift exit. At least the staff are courteous and seem to have time for all the customers. You will not find this in a the big chain chemists and pharmacies. I suppose it is the element of care that makes it what it is. It is a good little pharmacy stocking everything you need, I even once bought a last minute Christmas present from here. I think the recipient liked her luminous hair bobbles, who wouldn't? They were cheap too which was a bonus when the Christmas cash was tight. If you are ever in need of entertainment I would recommend getting in line for a prescription but if you ever need deodorant I would advise you to make the 20 minute journey to Boots.

In fact, I was the only one, and all I was after were some facial wipes. - a strangely quiet atmosphere...music anyone? - not an awful lot- it's quite small. I reluctantly chose a different brand of facial wipe to what I usually buy, as there really wasn't much of a selection, took it to the counter, was met with a sort of smile, paid for the wipes and went on my way. No unlucky conversations on this particular day, but I figured that the weather must have had an adverse effect on the staff for the lady who served me was a tad gloomy. And that was that. Nothing exceptional, but nothing atrocious. Liked the lovely fluorescent orange labels on everything though. They sure made certain I knew those facial wipes were £1.99.

However, I recently used Ormeau Pharmacy when I had an eye infection as I couldn't be bothered trying to get a Doctors appointment booked. The Pharmacist at Ormeau was excellent. He looked at my eye and asked about my symptoms then sold me eye drops to use over the course of a week whilst advising me not to wear my contact lenses for a week too. All in all super service and I will definitely return for advice and medication in future to save me having to bother with a visit to the GPs surgery.

My favourite buys from this store are the fake eyelashes, which are a complete bargain at five pounds for three pairs! If you're an eyelash wearer you'll understand how cheap this is as usually a good pair costs five pounds individually! I always find that I spend far too much money in Superdrug as everything seems so cheap in comparison with Boots or general chemists. This means I lift way too many items and by the time I get to the check out I've always spent in the excess of twenty quid. What's always handy about getting to the check outs is that the staff will tell you about any offers they have on, usually three for two on products or special discounts, this does add to the final total but its cheaper than usual so how can you stop yourself?!

I especially like the sensible queing system for the tills which means you don't find yourself in the queue that never seems to move whilst folk queing at other tills are served quickly. No, at Boots they have a snake system whereby you queue at a barrier and only move to a till as it becomes free. Remeber it has a Pharmacy too, handy for collecting prescriptions or popping in for a chat and some advice from the pharmacist for minor health issues.

Not restocked as often as they could be but still have a reasonable selection. On Saturdays especially it is hard to find a member of staff to answer queries without having to queue forever (sometimes I just give up and go elsewhere when I can't find something). I prefer to shop online because makeup, etc isn't sealed with sticky tape which leaves a residue or you can't get off. Their points machines often don't work and I hate the way that they are positioned so that everyone in the store can read your name and details as you use them.
