The new people have already made a big change. Outside they have taken away the beer garden completely and extended the car park. Next to the pub they've also had the patio/ smokers area made bigger. Having the beer garden taken away is a shame as they used to have a bouncy castle up in the summer and it was the only pub you could go as a family. Inside there is a kind of chill out room with a few comfy chairs and tables. Round into the bar which is quite thin and tends to get a bit packed. They do have another room down the end where they sometimes show sports and this is where you can retreat to get away from the live music which can be quite deafening. They do do food, which I didn't think was great but that was with the old people. It's a nice place in the centre of the village.

It's got a lovely atmosphere and is both family friendly (they do a nice menu at a decent price and it is packed for Sunday lunches) and ale drinker friendly, with the local Steamin Billy ales being on offer as well as quite often other ale selections. I would definitely recommend it, the only problem is its off road location is not convinient if you don't have a car!

Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.
