Amy had read my 6-page curriculum vitae noting my 30+ years experience as a musician and teacher and somehow saw me as some kind of a threat. She never heard me play or sing. She never reached out to see how my lessons were going. My guitar teacher spent half my lesson time talking about himself and playing his own guitar while I was forced to sit quietly and look at the clock. He ended class early many times and I had to remind him of my hour lesson on several occasions. I was relegated to the earliest lesson time possible so I would have zero interactions with other students and teachers. I wonder if other students are treated this way, or is it just the gay ones?
